Did you have to pass through landmine infested meadows, or war torn streets? Did you have to count your pennies and dimes and wonder if you would have to choose between a gift or your next meal? No? Then piss off. If you do not understand the extreme privilege you have just with the ability to drive to a store and spend $30, a full month's, if not yearly salary in other parts of the world, then you need to go get humbled. The absolute coolest store! I checked them out for some Christmas presents and I walked home with some of the most unique gifts I couldn't find anywhere else. There are so many things to look at and I could get lost at Strapping! Staff and owner were also beyond great, attentive and super helpful! I bought multiple gifts for my loved ones including a Lady Gaga mug, Paw Patrol car set and Post Malone Christmas tree ornament. They are a little bit on the pricy side, but I loved being able to support a small business! Parking can be kind of hard to find on busy days, but Strapping is located where there are lots of other places to look at in the area like a great bookstore and coffee shop so parking and walking isn't so bad. Found this store on a whim when the cute pottery vases and Knick knacks drew us in from across the street! It is such a fun shop, they have funny candy, valentines, magnets, shirts, and rugs that are all references to pop culture or just silly quotes. I picked out a 50 piece Pringle puzzle for a friend who loves puzzles & chips! It is a great place to find a white elephant gift or find unique pieces to furnish an apartment (like I will be doing). Interesting stuff, but kind of strange that nearly everything is made in China (but priced like it's made in America). I guess it's better than supporting old man Bezos? Uncertain; seems a bit disturbing when there's a plethora of local makers in the Sac area. I believe the Blue Diamond gift shop supports local makers more. Strapping good time at Strapping! I came here with my BFF for a little shopping after plant shopping. She had heard of the store on Instagram, I think. We took the time to look at almost everything! Little trinkets, backpacks, wallets, funny note pads, funny stickers, funny everything you can imagine. I decided to purchase a tiny little trinket tray in the shape of a monstera plant and a Herschel Supply wallet for my husband. I think I have a new favorite store in Sacramento, Strapping! I've been to the Oak Park location before and look forward to when I feel safe enough to venture out to check out the new Midtown location. Luckily, if you're like me and hunkered down for the next three weeks or so, you can still mark off a bunch of your holiday shopping with Strapping Store's online marketplace at https://www.strappingstore.com/. It popped up on my Facebook feed and I decided to check it out for some last minute (well not really) stocking stuffers since my partner's stocking was looking a little anemic. I was really delighted with all the cute items. From the fun and quirky to the artisan and handcrafted. The prices are great, too. Even better, Strapping Store is offering FREE delivery of online purchases in the City of Sacramento and Elk Grove. I placed my order around 10 am and they were delivered around 3pm. I was thrilled. Each of the items was actually cuter and higher quality than what I anticipated. These are not your average stocking stuffers. I can't wait to see my partners' face on Christmas morning. A few months ago, they expanded to include furniture and items for your home. Their selection is classy, modern and top quality. There are days when I wish I could take it all home.
