One of my favorite hidden gems of Sacramento. Not only do they sell amazing plants, succulents and cacti, they are very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. This place is my kryptonite and I want to spend all the dollars.

I just bought another piece of ceramic the other day, a beautiful peacock blue bowl. This is at least the fifth [?] piece I've bought at Public Land to add to my collection, Mel has such great taste in ceramics! I often drop by just to be in a room with a bunch of plants and talk about plants and geek out on plants cause it's so fun and the plants are so beautiful. This store is a GEM "hidden" in plain sight! Always worth the trip.

I had specific ideas for a gift for my friend with a budget, and Jeanette was able to help me find this uncommon Cebu Blue Pothos and also repotted it and watered it in this nice clay pot. Overall spent under $50 and my friend will love it! Great black owned business and Jeanette was very knowledgeable

Public Lands is a great specialty plant shop. I picked up my Calithea Rattlesnake here along with a couple terra cotta pots. Great selection and some really unique house plants and succulents. Shop black, shop local, shop Public Lands,

Public Land is a cactus lover's dream. They have incredible, large (but pricy) cacti. Come here if you have money to blow on mature babies, or if you want inspiration. They've also got a solid collection of house plants for prices that won't break the bank. However you should beware, not all of their plants are for sale (string of coins, I've been eyeing you). The entire store is so photogenic, and they have fun knick knacks and ceramics, and a small art gallery. Don't be afraid of the hipster-y vibe, most of the employees are incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

This is a special place. Big variety in a little shop, plus unique pots, gifts and cards! Whenever I'm hankering for a new unusual plant, I'm there!

Very friendly and knowledgeable people! I just was stopping by for the first time and they had an Alocasia I've been wanting but didn't think I would come across any time soon. I came back with the plant that I bought from them to get guidance on what I should do differently and they were happy to help. This will be one of the two plant shops I will be going to from now on here in Sac

What a gorgeous plat store ! Every corner is filled with something eye catching. They have a variety of plants and the cashier was knowledgeable. Highly recommend visiting this location.

I love going in to check out the cacti: some are super old or hard to find or are just neat looking.

Well you can imagine my happiness while at a Yelp event in Oak Park I saw next door there was an amazing looking nursery-I just knew I would have to make a return visit-well when I finally had the time,we headed to The Plant Foundry located at 3500 Broadway in Oak Park. This place is so cute-I haven't been to a ton of nurseries as I've generally picked up my cactus plants at random spots like a midtown market or a Trader Joe's or as gifts from people but I will say this was one of the cuter nurseries I've been to. When we arrived I walked around a bit to check out what they had to offer-what was in season and wondering where the cactus plants were. I liked this little sign they had in the middle of their nursery which advised everyone what was in season and what should be planted at this time of year-for a newbie green thumb person like myself-information like that is very helpful. After walking around a bit I decided on the cutest little cactus to add to my collection at home and it cost me $7.99,so cheap and my daughter decided to get a snow peas plant($7.49). In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Oak Park area and want to check out the cutest little nursery-I would 100% recommend The Plant Foundry for all your gardening needs-they have a really awesome business running out there-I like em and will be back.

This nursery is on the smaller size and not as overwhelming as some of the others in the area, and all the plants we've picked up here have been happy and have been great additions to our garden. I like that we've found consistent seasonal offerings as well as have been surprised with some fun plants we haven't seen elsewhere. The store inside is also fun to browse with both garden accessories, as well as gifts, fun items, and local things that someone with an interest in gardening would also enjoy. The staff is friendly and helpful and there's even sometimes a cute and friendly cat that's wondering around to greet guests. A great spot to browse while visiting Oak Park and a great spot to pick up seasonal plants or more longterm additions to your garden.

On my latest visit I was there for a candle making class with Black Lily Naturals in Propagate's large event space. The whole building is beautiful, with stained glass windows, brick walls, and beautiful plants everywhere. They offer services like repotting and soil refreshing, and their staff is very friendly. The event space is large and lit well and the candle making class has about twenty five people where we were all comfortably able to sit at tables and enjoy the activity. They offer the space as a venue for private events, parties and weddings as well. Parking in the area is street parking, and you'll want to keep an eye on signage for parkmobile info or other parking info so you don't get a ticket. I'm excited to head back soon!

My family and I were visiting family in Loomis and decided to walk over to check out High Hand. First of this place is HUGE and honestly so dreamy! Who wouldn't want to sip on a brewski or glass of wine while walking around looking at plants to buy?! They have a love garden and plants for sale to browse and enjoy. Nestled in the middle is a cute cafe adorned with lush plants inside. I didn't get a chance to eat at the cafe, but it's in my bucket list now. Once you keep walking, you pass some cute succulents and then inside to indoor plants. Next up you'll find an olive oil, balsamic tasting room. A huge variety of fun, different options to try. I ended up buying a garlic cilantro white balsamic for home! As you keep walking next you'll find a little art gallery and a little cute little artisan store. Then finally you'll run into the brewery in the back with live music playing too! Such a neat spot to browse through and shop a little.

As far as price goes, since this is my first time there and not really buying plants aside from the seasonal flower to indoor plants I'm not too familiar with it being good value. But I do believe they are as my best friends always come back and the constantly have fliers for sales. They also give notice to upcoming community events. Our last visit we realized that they also sell beef cuts, tallow, jams and honey. We decided to purchase the honey and we just tried it with tea and by itself, and we will be repurchasing! We're excited to get our beef there too. But amazing place, heavily believe in supporting local nurseries it's worth it.
