Quite simply the best of the best!…read more Normally I'd feel quite uncomfortable in taxis (as a young female travelling alone ... we've all heard the stories) but for the past while Abbey Taxi have been using their brilliant text services to let you know the car has been dispatched to your address, that they're outside to pick you up and also what the make / colour and reg plate of the car is. It is just so helpful and REASSURING. It's handy enough the text service as it means there's less chance you miss your cab, but as I mentioned, if I feel uneasy all I have to do is let someone know how I'm getting home and voila I'm pretty safe as far as the taxi's concerned. I've had issues with taxi drivers before from other companies, but every single driver I've ever been picked up from Abbey will either banter away with you if you're in the mood or know quite rightly when you're not in the mood for chat. The company recently merged with Phone-A-Taxi so they've got many more drivers for your convenience. They've also recently moved to meters, I moaned about this for a while, until I realised that 9/10s of the time my fare has ended up at least a few quid cheaper. (This tip nearly always goes back to lucky taxi man!) Also, I've seen adverts 'Pay your taxi by credit card' which is just another great inventions! (I've haven't used this service yet, when I do I'll re-review) and I've just been on their new look website where soon you'll be able to book taxis online, handy for those 'phone phobics' among us (You know who you are!) In conclusion, all this makes me feel Abbey Taxi are without a doubt the number one cab company in this area. They are so up and coming, never fail to impress! Just hope they keep it up.

I only recently began to use this taxi company. The recently bought over Carnmoney taxis which I…read morehad used before. What I really like about these taxis is that they don't have a meter, and therefore charge a little bit less than the other main taxi companies in the city. One such example of this is the journey from my house to the city centre. Abbey charges me almost £2 less than other taxi companies. Another great thing that they do is send you a text when you car is being dispatch, and upon its arrival they send you a text of the license plate number and the make, model and colour of the car. This is incredibly useful when waiting outside a club dying to find your taxi to take you home. It makes it so much easier

I never watched Game of Thrones, but Winterfell was on the list for many in our group. We booked…read morethe "Cycle Tour" (38.50 euros) which is a self-bicycle tour where you are given a Game of Thrones 'Stark Sack' that includes a filming location map, a cloak, a sword and an ipad digital guide. The trails were beautiful, filled with lots of greens and MOSQUITOS! Be careful, I didn't count them, but there were millions!!! Aside from the mosquitos, my husband loved it! He wore his cloak and took some pretty cool pictures! It was nice to see him so excited. Aside from the tour we did, they have others: Archery movie set experiences, The Narrow Sea boat voyage, Tyrion's Axe Throwing experience, Luxury Private Tours for Winterfell & Kingdom of Mourne/Luxury Private Tours for Dragonstone & Giants Causeway, Glamping Overnight Mini Breaks, and Meet the Direwolves at Winterfell Castle. They have a pretty cool but expensive gift shop as well for all of you hard core GOT fans. Tip: Online booking is highly recommended! Irelands only Game of Thrones Visitor Attraction.

Maybe 3 stars for non Game of Thrones fan but definitely 4 stars minimum for huge fans like me. As…read morewe were staying in Belfast, I rented a car to get here. Google map shows that there is a way to get here via public transportations, but definitely easier and time efficient to drive down here yourself. Admission was £8.50 per person just to get in. There are guided tour via bicycle. Although Winterfell's distinctive disk shaped roofs are all CG works, you'll recognize these buildings from "in the castle view". There are few sites in this compound that were used for other scenes such as Audley's Castle where Rob Stark set the camp during the battle of Oxcross(where he received the news of his father's death). Everything here got me excited "oh yeah! I remover here! This is from that scene!" Although I came here on my own, I'd recommend to come here via gameofthronestours.com. It's £50. Coming here on my own cost far more(£120 for rental car alone). If you are a huge GoT fan, this place is a must!
