Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. We undertook a large remodel project that included a new roof, windows, siding, and gutters than…read moreran from July-November. This two-star rating does not reflect the quality of work performed by the individual sub-contracted companies, which final product was satisfactory after timely repairs. The low rating is due to a significant lack of communication with Ridge Top, and unfinished work. Sub-contracted crews showed up on-site unannounced or changed their work schedule without notice from Ridge Top. We were informed we did not need to be home on days only outdoor projects would be completed, and yet crews were ringing the doorbell asking for instructions about installation that was not provided to them by Ridge Top (window orientation, down spout locations, etc). This interfered with work-from-home meetings. During siding work, the doorbell circuit was closed by poor nail placement causing it to run continuously. This resulted in both the door bell and transformer to become overheated and melt the bell chime cover inside the house. This was replaced by an electrician in a timely manner. Significant work-site debris was left in the yard, and Ridge Top's project managers shared our alarm at the final walk through. Together, we picked up roofing brackets, pail-full of nails we have collected with our own magnet, trimmed pieces of fascia/soffit/siding, and whole shingles. When we signed with Ridge Top we specifically asked, and were assured, that the new window trim would match the existing size, eliminating the need for additional significant drywall and paint repair. After 2 separate measurement appointments before installation, the finished trim installed on 13 windows was significantly smaller. We raised this concern during installation and at multiple walkthroughs, but it was repeatedly ignored. At the final walkthrough, Ridge Top acknowledged the extensive repairs required to both drywall and painting, and offered to provide compensation if we could get a quote from our own painter. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the quote was shared with Ridge Top and multiple un-returned phone calls, they reversed this decision citing generic contract terms. This situation would not have been an issue had Ridge Top honored their initial assurance of minimal repairs or addressed the problem promptly. Instead, the lack of transparency and follow-through has resulted in unnecessary additional expenses and frustration.

They not only charged two grand over the price quoted, they filed a lien on the property even though they knew I was in the process of taking out a bank loan to pay for it. This was after they had already received eleven thousand dollars (almost all that was due). Ironically, they're filing of the lien might be the the thing that sinks the loan, as it is a HELOC. Greedy, greedy company. As for the quality of the work, I am pretty sure I didn't get my money's worth. There are items on the invoice that I am certain they didn't do because Jeff, the guy in charge told me they weren't going to do, but he told me he would be billing insurance for anyway. They got it all done within a single day with a bunch of guys who didn't speak English. Their sign will be going in the garbage today.

They went above and beyond to make sure not only our roof replacement went well but made sure the little details were taken care of without coming back for most likely justified extra cost because they were already there. They are fair and explain everything very well. One observation that I had while they were here was the Owner Scott came by the jobsite. He knew all of the laborers by name and was bilingual to be able to communicate with his team. I think we should all support local businesses with leaders that treat their employees with respect and kindness. And it is obvious this leadership gets translated into their work. Throughout the claims process there were a few bumps in the road with our insurance company but Nick was there helping walk us through each situation- never leaving us hanging. When it came to installing the new roof, Nick's crew not only did an amazing job but they were very thorough when it came to cleaning up each day. Our neighbors even popped by to comment on what a great job they had done! Our house now had a beautiful new roof but we weren't finished with Doyle Exteriors just yet. The gutters that were on the house originally were gross, outdated and you probably would have had to run them over with a tank to do any sort of damage to them. We decided they had to go and within the last few weeks, we had new gutters installed as well.
