This NCG has great ticket prices & very reasonable concession prices. The only bad thing is they just changed their waters, they use to carry the large Dasani waters but now they carry some cheap small bottled water for the same price. But hey if the type of water they carry is the only bad thing I can find than I think they are doing pretty darn good. P.S. their salted pretzel with cheese is AWESOME!!!

They moved people through the line very quickly and efficiently. We got good seats in the second or third row from the screen and were able to see perfectly. The sound came through SO good. The only issue I have is that I think it was either staff or the owner but he like knocked on my window which I thought was kind of rude and also as a girl I'm like what the heck dude back off? The concessions were actually really good! And the prices are soooo flexible for a big group of people. I was very impressed and happy with the whole turn out.

And that really is the main problem with going here in the summer is that you can't start the movies before 9 or 10pm, so by the time you get to the end of the second movie it is past 1am. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I guess that is what caffeine and candy are for though. It is an enjoyable experience...Throwing the football around waiting for the sky to darken, seeing the Big Dipper hang above the screen, hearing the crickets chirping over the movie, getting bit by a mosquito, and hanging out outside watching a flic while the sky darkens into a dark black and the stars start to pop. Typically we bring some lawn chairs, a small table, many blankets and a small radio that we plug into the car. We park the car facing away from the screen, pop the lift gate of the van, reverse the last row of seats and then we have seating for 6 easy, good audio, and easy access to items in the car. The seating options give you the ability to walk around, change seats, etc., because sitting in your car for several hours watching a movie may not be as pleasant as you think.

One thing to keep in mind is they do not have ADA restrooms, and you have to navigate stairs to the basement to go potty. Go easy on that Green River.

I haven't been to the Brokaw since Saving Private Ryan and Solo got me to fly over to Angola. As stated it had been awhile since I watched a movie on the square and I was quite impressed with their recent renovations. Two screens, tables, new seats, improved sound system, new concession stand with ice cream, beer, pizza, hot dogs, wine, popcorn and lots of candy. Working at two different theaters in my teens I was impressed by their employees. They were attentive, super friendly, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. To me that helps creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to come back. As the years have passed, smaller theaters and especially downtown theaters have went by the wayside all across America. That hasn't happened at The Brokaw and with their recent renovation they will be open on the square for years to come. I have no problem recommending the Brokaw Movie House to anyone in Angola, at Trine, at the Lake on a rainy day, or staying in northeast Indiana.

Unfortunately, now I go here because it's the lesser of two crappy options. Almost all of the seats at the ends of the aisles have armrests that give way when you sit down. The seat covering is falling apart. Honestly, it looks like shit. It's embarrassing and as long as it continues like this, it just goes to show that the company doesn't give a shit about the experience of being at the movies. I don't blame the employees here. I think they're generally great and I feel bad for them that this company doesn't care enough to fix things. If they fixed things here, it would be amazing. I'll keep reviewing it every time I come here. We will see how much it matters.
