The Staff and location is what the Strain is doing right, the added 50$ tax on 100$ buy is where they lost me. Save your money and go to another store, who is at least up front with an out the door price. You know it's bad when many of the staff told they don't even shop there with their discount. Ordered through Weedmaps today and happy to see a 20% off coupon available. Placed my order, used the coupon and waited for my delivery. Upon, arrival I was presented with a total of $230, which did not include that coupon. The delivery driver called in and told them the issue. He was on speaker and told me there is no 20% off coupon, only 20% off your 1st three deliveries and that I have already used those. Well, from the pictures below you can see that there indeed was a 20% off coupon, which had nothing to do with the first 3 deliveries and this coupon had been accepted and applied to my order. The man on the phone was rude and dismissive of my problem. No one even bothered to call and tell me. They just showed up with my order and a total that was $50 higher than expected. I am not at all happy with The strain. "The Strain Team Cares" is the first thing you will see when you go to their website. Well, I call bullshit on that. Save yourself the time and headache of this overpriced, pathetic excuse of a dispensary. There is plenty of competition in the area. Going anywhere else would be a better option. Update at bottom: The closing manager Cory....absolutely rather close up shop then fill an online order placed earlier in the day! It didn't matter I was a C7 Quadriplegic who depends on herb to control my spasms and pain so I can sleep. Also, I've been a customer for years here!!! I called at 7:52pm and spoke with Jess who ask what car I was in then said that it would take a few mins to see who could bring out my order. Literally at 8:01pm, Cory (or Kory who said he was Closing manager) comes out to my van and said "It's to late to bring your order out!" Well, they say customer service is key...and now I know that Quadriplegics and Para's are not welcome around closing! I now will post on FB as well as telling my Northridge Spinal Cord Injury support group to go elsewhere...oh, and they will! (Northridge Hospital SCI group on FB, many members have be approached by other Dispensaries) Sure, I will have a full night of unbearable spasms and pain...but at least Cory got to leave right at 8pm. The first time we came here I had my 81 yr old mom who wanted edibles. We'd been to a different place but Strain is so close to my house it's so much easier to just go there. My mom didn't;t like teh waiting area because its sort if a long dark hallway. You go up to a window ad give your ID and if its busy you wait. It felt like going to a dmv or something- BUT then they put in a lot more light and decoration and plants and it's way more inviting now! I don't know much about all of the products or even really the prices. I pick my mom up a few boxes of Stizzy edibles once a week or so. Mondays are usually the go to day because there's %15 a discount on edibles Mondays. The real reason I am doing a review today..since I just left there and it's Christmas Day- is that the one thing I find unique to Strain is a GREAT STAFF that seem to like their jobs and like EACH OTHER. They really seem to get along well and they are so professional and friendly to customers. Since I go weekly it's always a consistent vibe. They're fun, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The website set up is very user friendly as far as menu set up, search engine is easy to use when looking for something specific and I would say their menu is very current and kept up to date. I went in today and was shocked by the staff here. The Woman up front called security as soon as I walked in and security told me that I cannot come in because I am banned. I asked why and he looked in the system and said it was due to a counterfeit bill. I said I am not that kind of person and that is was definitely a mistake. The security guard told me there was nothing he can do about it that he cannot allow me to come in. I have been going to this location for almost 2 years and never would I have thought I would be approached like this. I even said that if for some reason the ATM gave me a counterfeit bill that I had no clue about that I would replace the $ for that bill(s). If you are going to approach me please have your facts straight. Every time I go there I park right in front in an exotic six figure car and I'm being approached about a counterfeit bill SMH. Their loss because I will not be going back here again and I will tell all my friends and family not to go here again either.
