Fayetteville Pilates and Barre is a beautiful studio with professional staff and upbeat classes…read more I'm a relative newbie to Pilates and Barre classes, but I've taken classes with four different instructors and have enjoyed all of them. I've only done the pilates and barre classes, but Fayetteville Pilates and Barre also offers reformer and TRX classes. The owner, Lisa, is incredibly knowledgeable and judgment-free. Every single instructor has been kind and uplifting. As far as the workouts go... They are HARD, y'all! But they're designed to be hard no matter if you're a super novice or a hardcore super advanced fitness guru. What I really like is that the workouts is that theyre low impact - that is, they're going to be easy on the joints, which is important to me now that I'm not a young college whippersnapper anymore. Students - they have discounts for you! FPB also usually has a black Friday sale every year where you can buy classes at a discounted rate.

Pilates is great for injuries and the instructors will work with you. They offer mat pilates, reformer pilates, TRX and barre classes - all amazing workouts. You will get results! They also have a health coach to help you as well. I might get the exact wording wrong here, but they are the only studio in ARKANSAS that has Pilates Trained Master Certified Instructors. Amazing, right?! I took a class from Lisa and she was an awesome teacher and kicked our butts at the same time - I felt the burn and I liked it haha.

I have going to HOTWORKX for a few months now and I have been extremely impressed with everything…read more I was originally skeptical of a infrared studio but after my first Hot Cycle class I was sold on the concept. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Every time I have walked into the studio I have been greeted with a hello or welcome. They have 8 saunas, the first four saunas are set up for isometric workouts like Hot Buns, Hot Bands, Hot Yoga, etc. The last four saunas are set up for H.I.T workouts, they have two Hot Cycle saunas and two Hot Blast (cycle workout that involves arm movements). Because of Covid-19 it's one person (plus a family/friend if you feel comfortable working out with them in an in closed space) per sauna. The saunas are big enough and normally set up for three people to workout together. If you are looking for a place to workout then I would highly recommend HOTWORX. The rates are really reasonably and they have a family package deal also. Plus the first workout is free.

There are 8 saunas at Hotworx that have a three-person capacity for workouts, but during the Covid-19 emergency, rooms are restricted to one person or two people from the same household. Each sauna has a 15 or 45 minute block of exercise. There are 10 different workouts to choose from. Two of the workouts are 15-minute HIIT workouts on stationary bikes, and the other 8 are 30-45 minute isometric workouts. The saunas are open 24 hours a day. Each workout is taught by a virtual instructor. Each of the 10 workouts is the same for a few months, but if you alternate the workouts you do each day, you'll get plenty of variety. As for the saunas - I was skeptical of the benefits that were being promoted, but consider me a believer now. I feel really great during after each workout. My criticisms of Hotworx: I am thrilled that masks are required in common areas, but not all members are good about following the rules when the gym is not staffed. This has improved recently, however. Also, the Hotworx app to track calories can be buggy. First workout is free, and I recommend checking out Hotworx.

Stopping along the way to explore the offbeat and get some good eats, Fayetteville was my second stop. After a couple days on the road, it was time to get myself back on my mat to work out all the kinks. After plotting out my itinerary for the day Trailside was in the perfect location for a midday stretch. I made it to the 12:00 heated Vinyasa class with Stephani. One may wonder why a 12:00 class in the summer needs to be heated, but it feels so good to sweat it out sometimes. Stephani actually set up a the class in such a way that one side of the room was warmer than the other so you could choose how much you wanted to sweat - really liked that they think about that. The one added touch that won me over was the kleenex boxes. There are support poles throughout the space. And on the base at the bottom of each pole was a box of kleenex. As a girl with some serious allergies, my sinuses are always draining, especially when hanging upside down in downward dog. Having access to tissues is key for me during my practice sessions. And unbeknownst to me, I selected a great spot to layout my mat. To cool off the room after class, Stephani opened the double doors to the community room. A room in front of which I was situated. The draft of cold air sweeping over me was a welcome treat during shavasana. Definitely check Trailside out if you're looking for a way to wash the stress of college away. At least for an hour.
