I wrote my review back in May 2013 and for some reason it went to not recommended. Don't know why because I would highly recommend them. I'm not a Stover's worker or friend of anyone who works there. I'm just like a majority of people in Wichita and work in aviation. since they have done their work I had a little bit of a bill to take care with them. Those in the office have been extremely helpful and nice regarding a payment plan. Even calling me monthly to set the amount and date that I can pay. Listed below is my original post. Like I said below, these people were awesome when they came out and have/had been awesome the whole time dealing with paying the left over back. One thing I REALLY respected was when they had to drill holes in my sheetrock, I asked them if that was something they fixed and they were open and honest, which doesn't happen much in the world today, that they can't do that because it would be more of a mistrust or ethical issue. That way the customers didn't think they were doing more things then were needed just so they could inflate a bill. Here is my original post..... My sump pump back flow valve pretty much exploded one night and my wife and I didn't realize this until the next morning. I had called my insurance company and they had given me Stover's number. They had a worker at my house within 2 hours of the initial call. The gentleman was very polite and very knowledgeable about his job. the estimate that he gave me was a lot lower than what the other review on here was. He started up doing what they do with the sucking out the water, setting up the fans and the dehumidifiers. He was very polite and understanding of my family and the situation that we were in. They had to come out a few different time and everyone that we had to deal with was very courteous and personable. The only issue was when they came back to clean the carpets. One room didn't get cleaned and when I spoke to the lady on the phone she was adamant that it was their mistake and that it was going to get taken care of... which it did. I would recommend this company to anyone. read more

Stover's came right away and got their fans and dehumidifier set up to get our basement dried out and also treated our furniture for mold. They came back each day to check on things until it was dried out. Once our drywall work was completed they returned to re-stretch our carpet and clean it. Other than a few minor issues they did a good job. Some of the minor issues were that when they had to tear out some drywall to get part of our basement dried they didn't bother to cover up what was left in the basement and it got coated in sheet rock dust (which we had to clean up). They also slightly scuffed up the baseboard in a couple of places (we fixed with a touch up pen) when they had to pull it from the wall to remove the drywall. When they returned to re-stretch our carpet and clean it they did not get the edge of the carpet next to the baseboard very clean and there were a few areas were they did not get the carpet stretched very tight. I called them back on a Friday to ask them about it and they didn't get back to me until the next Thursday (after I had to call them again to see why someone hadn't got back to me.) They came right away, apologized many times and tried to re-stretch our carpet the best they were able to do. I didn't ask them to re-clean the carpet as my wife had already taken our steam cleaner and had gone over the areas they didn't get very well. read more

So my husband and I woke up this morning to about an inch of water in our laundry room and soggy carpet throughout much of our basement. They say bad things happen in threes and this was the third frustration for us over the last two weeks. My husband went online and found Stover's restoration and it had good reviews on Google so we decided to go with them. The guys showed up after about 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. I only caught one of their names, and his name is Shawn. They were very professional and the moment they started working I knew this was not something that we could have handled on our own. They had all the right equipment to remove the water, set up all the fans when they were done, they did all the moving of the furniture for us which was a huge deal because I'm not a very big person. They put down a mildew prevention agent. They are also going to steam clean the carpets along with the areas they walked on when it is all done, and move the furniture back , which I think is awesome. I'm very happy with the service so far and I would recommend Stover's to other people. read more

Stover's Restoration was very responsive to our issue with sump pump failure due to electricity outage during recent rains. Justin Coffman and his crewman were efficient in assessing our situation and polite in explaining their services. Justin gave us a fair quote. Justin and his crewman removed a large water sogged carpet remnant, moved some big items to insure thorough drying out, and set their machines & fans in careful and timely fashion. As promised they responded to our call when the big dehumidifier quit and flashed a failure/blockage message. Justin and crew returned, hauled out the dysfunctional unit and set us up with a working unit. We appreciated Justin taking time to explain why this sometimes happens. Likewise the crew who returned today to collect the machines were polite and thorough in their explanations. As a result of the rains and number of folks affected, the schedule for the re-lay of carpet in a closet and the carpet cleaning is backed up two weeks. Stover's has earned our trust that the job will be completed as contracted on June 13. read more

My Basement flooded due to a backed up kitchen sink. Stover's office was very courteous and immediately found a team to come to my house. They were very knowledgeable regarding what needed to be done immediately to prevent more damage, and they worked with my insurance from the start. The team that came to sort out the damaged items and pack and move the other items to a storage pod (which is at my house and I have access to) was careful and efficient. They set up numerous machines to dehumidify and blowers to increase drying on all the wet surfaces. Because they were timely and very efficient and had great knowledge of residual damage from water and moisture, my loss of items in the rooms affected by the water was minimal. They also came out when my insurance adjuster was here to answer any questions. I would highly recommend these folks, as their whole team was very professional and knowledgeable. read more

My Mom and I came home to her house flooded after we had been on an overnight trip. Her entire basement looked destroyed. Insurance recommended Stovers. Stovers had a team at her house in under an hour. Cori and team were incredibly professional, helpful, efficient and kind. The kind part is detrimental to a service like that after a homeowner is completely distraught after the damage to their home. Cori explained every step of the process calmly and had both my Mom and I at ease with what the plan was. Cori is coming back over this morning to check in on the drying and I have no doubt he will continue to take care of my Mom and help her through this. I had already used Stovers in my own town when the building I work in was damaged from a busted pipe. They got to us quickly and made a huge difference in the entire clean up process. We had some water damage and at first we called the plumber and he recommended this company to us since we were not sure on how to handle the whole situation. We called them up at the end of day and they were here shortly after. The people we dealt with at Stovers were nice and really took the time to explain their process and gave us plenty of time to discuss the whole situation, which is nerve racking and exhausting in its self. There was no pressure from them to just get it done. We proceeded to move forward and Stovers explained what they were doing the whole way and really made us feel more at ease. They were very accommodating to our schedule (you don't get that much anymore) and always on time. When we spoke to our insurance claims person she also said she would have recommended them as well. Our basement flooded with all the storms we've been having for the past few weeks. My husband called Stover's on a Saturday afternoon, and they had a crew out to look at the damage within the hour. They quoted me a MUCH better price than another company (like nearly half of the other guys' price). I also love that Stover's deals directly with our insurance, so I don't have to deal with that headache. The guys, David and Preston, got right to work and were super friendly and professional. They pulled back the carpet and took out a lot of the padding, and they had the whole basement dried in less than a week. David even helped me move some extra furniture around to get ready for a surprise birthday party I was throwing last weekend, which he didn't have to do and was super nice of him. My shower drain pipe broke and leaked through the basement ceiling and into the basement. Once I realized what I was dealing with, I contacted Stover's Restoration. They were here within a hour. Their technician came in and assessed what was going on. The Stover's Restoration team went to work, they ran their test and made their readings. A plan was formulated and put into place. The technicians were friendly and kept m informed to what was going on. A service technician came out once a day to check on the equipment and check the readings. After 4 days everything was finished and dry. Stover's Restoration worked with my insurance company and I had noting to worry about. They made a stressful situation a worry free situation. If needed again for this type of work, Stover's Restoration will be my first and only call. read more

They did a thorough check of my basement and went right to work getting my home back to normal again. I was very impressed by their knowledge and professionalism. But most of all, I appreciated their kindness and compassion. It was as if Family had come to help. They worked directly with my insurance company and kept me informed of any work needed and the costs involved. I left for school about 9 and came home about 1 and found that the water line to the kitchen sink had burst. I'm guessing the water was running continuously for the majority I was gone. The water had gone from the kitchen, to the dining room (east of the kitchen), west into our bedroom, and flooded about 90% of our basement. Our insurance agent contacted Stover's Restoration, and Tyler A. arrived at our house within an hour. Tyler explained everything well, not only with what he and the company does, but with how the whole process works with insurance. Tyler had to call in a reinforcement (never got his name, but he was excellent also), due to the extent of the damage. After lightning caused a water line to break in the basement ceiling, I called Stover's Restoration. Within an hour after calling them, they were already here! They removed the water from the carpet and also even removed the water from the tubs the water had been collecting in. They applied an anti-microbial agent and brought in several fans and a dehumidifier. I feel confident that the work Stover's did helped protect my house from further damage. It would have taken days for us to complete what they accomplished in hours! Every employee that came to the house was very friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. This company is truly the best. After the initial call for services they arrived at my home within 20 to 25 minutes. Very professional, knowledgeable, and Team Work. They were really concerned about making sure that the house was completely dried out, and that everything was in working order along with any concerns or questions that I had. Cori Borjas with Stover's Restoration was absolutely amazing! He saved our house from what could have eventually turned into a major disaster! We had a major water leak under the house that we didn't know for awhile and He came out and drained the water and treated it all in one day but also had to have it dried so that took a few more days but he got the job done. He is one of the best workers that weve ever had. He was on time and was very informative with the process and steps that needed to be done so we were able to know what was going on with every move he took. In February we discovered our bathroom cold water line had a small pinhole leak that had probably been leaking for a few weeks. Our plummer recommended after assessing the damage that we call Stovers Restoration. Preston and his crew were at our home in less than an hour at 10pm at night and stayed until 1am to get everything set up and arrange the clean up of our catastrophy. They set up their equipment and were back by 8am the next morning to tear down walls and set up more equipment. I was impressed with the speediness of their work and all the advice and support they provided in this process. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for someone who wants good quality work done...FAST!!! read more

The day after Christmas we woke up to water seeping through our kitchen floor. I immediately ran down stairs and water was coming through our ceiling and flooded a room. We called a plumber and then learned about stovers and called them right away. They were out in less then 45, enough time to load up all the fans and head over. They came out assessed everything and immediately demoed everything that needed demo and set up all the fans and dehumidifiers. By morning almost every looked dry. They came back and checked occasionally on the progress and then once they were done loaded everything up.
