Being a 40+ year RN having worked in outpt settings for many years, I am familiar with community standards and proper policies/procedures. Things such as requiring monthly in-person visits for medication refills fall outside the norm and more likely fall into the category of how to increase revenue to get the bills paid. She hung up on me in the middle of a phone call when I dared to disagree with her solution to my problem that would require more work on her part...no, I did not need a Good RX coupon-I needed a form filled out for my insurance company so they would pay for the next 12 months of refills. I wish her well and hope she has gotten herself into a much better practice situation now so that she is supported and that her stress doesn't rub off onto her patients. I think she is a competent physician, but her office policies need to be PATIENT OUTCOME DRIVEN- NOT REVENUE DRIVEN.

He burned a huge hole in my back with so much silver nitrite for a small mole. That scar will always be there in clear view. He botched a community member's baby's circumcision & cut off way too much I had a terrible hand infection & couldn't use my dominant hand, that lasted for 4 months & Dr A was clueless. He looked me in the eyes and promised to call me to discuss my test results when they arrived. Instead he had a stranger from his office call who told me the wrong information and he gave me the wrong medication two times.. He won't respond to concerns via phone. He didn't even know my sons markings on his body were stretch marks and said to watch them for cancer. He doesn't listen to concerns and he pushes vaccinations, despite my telling him many times I had already made an informed decision. I highly recommend staying as far away from this "doctor" as possible.

The initial contact was extremely professional giving me hope. My 14 year old Grandson who doesn't like going to the doctor was very nervous! Immediately upon arriving we were treated with incredible Aloha which relaxed his nervousness. I was able to take my grandson without having to pick him up from school early, because of the online portal where all paperwork was performed from the convenience of my home. The NP Cindy MECHAM is extremely adept and thorough in her knowledge and exam. I was profoundly impressed by the Ohana style this office offers. On time I was the last surgery of the day at about 1 pm and I was home by 5pm. Doing very well today, I feel good, some normal swelling, walking every hour or so. I saw the doctor in less than 10 minutes of going back. They did a CT, EKG, bloodwork, an IV with fluids and I was in and out in 3 hours. Everyone was so beyond nice. Someone even came by to check on me while I was waiting on results to see how I was and if I was warm enough. I highly recommend this ER.

Some drive across town just to see him. I never had to use his services until a few weeks ago, as that is when we had our first newborn. From the moment we talked to him and saw him with baby, he was amazing. He has the magic touch, takes his job very seriously and you can tell he not only enjoys what he does, but it also very good at it. He always takes the time to ask if we have any questions, and recommends us going home and writing them all down for the next time we see him. The coolest thing I like about his office, is he schedules all the check ups in the am, and the sick kids in the pm. This way, he keeps them separate and prevents spreading. Awesome! All of his staff have been great as well, from reception to the nurses and helpers. He moved to this location a few years ago which works out better for us since it is closer to home. I am very happy to have chosen Dr Sugai, and would highly recommend anyone with kids to see him.

His office is near the hospital, which is helpful if your little one ever needs to be seen there. The waiting room is a little small, about 10 chairs inside, but is enough since there's not too many people there at one time. The patient rooms are clean, tidy, and with kid friendly decor. The nurses are friendly, and make the immunization process quick and gentle.
