I often visit during the week or "off times" due to work and have always observed the residents to be very well attended, well groomed, and offered engagement activities. I have also seen residents receiving individual attention from staff. I am always informed promptly about any medical changes or exams for dad and have been very happy with the medical care he receives. I have toured at least 10 facilities throughout the area and have not found any as nice as Arbor Terrace. Arbor Terrace also has very nice events which include the entire community of residents and their families. The activity directors work on incorporating all neighborhoods into these events which is such a positive experience especially for the Evergreen community This facility is also beautifully decorated with nice rooms for residents and has great food!

When my grandmother was in transition, she displayed the following symptoms which included an inability to eat, inability to move, inability to take medication, inability to speak, and inability to open her eyes. She was on her deathbed which was provided by Hospice. Somebody named Donna stated to me "Your grandmother is not in transition, and therefore you are not allowed to spend the night with your grandmother." At 2:20AM that very night, my grandmother passed away. HarborChase does not adhere to what they communicate to their members. This is a place of dishonesty.

I let her know how I resolved my near year long issue- by contacting Tonya's boss directly and working with him through deposit return. It has a large living room, bedroom with walk-in closet, full kitchen with range/oven, full size fridge, dishwasher and microwave, and a bathroom. There is also a stackable washer/dryer. The staff is very attentive. The nurse noticed that that she was not taking her medications at the right time, and informed me right away. They also alert me when she need additional medication. The staff is very polite and they communicate well. The activities are setup like a cruise ship; there are lots of things to do with others if you like social events, but you can stay in your room if you'd like. In addition to weekly trips to the grocery / drug stores, there are also special events like concerts at North Central College, a movie on site every Sunday in the Great room, and Wii Bowling tournaments. In December, the residents took a bus into downtown Chicago for lunch in the Walnut Room at Macy's and a Christmas concert right after. The food is varied and tastes good. Residents can choose from a Deli/Cafe, Bar/Lounge, or formal sit-down restaurant foe their meal choices, and meals are included in the monthly fee. The campus is great for walking, especially once the weather warms up. There are walking paths with benches, so it's easy to get some exercise or find an isolated spot to read a book. There are gazebos outside the restaurant so dining al fresco is an option. All in all, it's a good fit for mom. She has plenty of opportunities for interaction and she is enjoying her time there.
