When I was a kid there used to be a trend where malls would serve double duty by being an amusement park and arcade. It was an Ayala mall that started this trend. Back then it was called Gleekos or Gleeckos. I'm no longer sure anymore.
SM malls decided to do their own version. Their version was called Storyland. I was brought their by mom along with my sister as a present in what must have been my first or second grade. It was one of the best birthday presents I ever had.
We spent a tremendous amount of time going on rides and playing video games in the arcade. We would also go out to eat later on that day.
It's just sad that these days the business went down under due to the decline in patrons. What's left of this theme park in a mall are a few rides like the carousel and the train that goes around the mall. It's sad really seeing something from your childhood dissappear.
