As the name suggests, there's nothing sophisticated, just all-out mayhem! I like how the gun gives you the sensation that you're actually shooting a real gun (sort of). The arcade shop is small, so don't expect the newest games to be available. In fact, most of the games they offer are from the old days but are still popular. There's Time Crisis 2, Tekken, and and a number of basketball hoops. You can bring your kids to enjoy two or three kiddie rides available in the shop. There's also a section for KTV, where you can belt out your own rendition of My Way (popularized by Frank Sinatra) in one of the karaoke machines. Another reason to like Fun Nation is their affordability. Each game costs PHP 5.00 only. You don't even have to buy tokens because the machines accept real 5-peso coins. If you don't have coins, you can always exchange your bills at the counter. This arcade can be full of people during peaks hours, usually in the afternoon until closing time. They were able to order whatever they wanted and when we asked why, they said it was because they were regulars. So turned out there were cheaper options physically in stock - just not for us. After I paid, it took them 30 minutes to return our change (400), and it genuinely felt like they had no intention of giving it back until we reminded them.

Most of their video games are really outdated; some games that are on the floor might even be older than me. However, many kids these days still frequent this particular branch of Quantum, because the parents let the kids play in the arcade while they grab a bite to eat. The food court is quite close, so they can rest while at the same time, watch their kids have a bit of fun by themselves. One of the more updated video games that Quantum features is the Dance Central machine. I'm amazed that the kids who play on this machine aren't shy to show off their dancing skills to the public, much less to the entire food court audience. Whenever I pass by here, I'm kind of envious that these kids can really dance like no one is watching, and some of them can really bust a move.

But the arcade, especially Timezone, looked so fun. The first time I went to Timezone, I was babysitting my two nieces and one nephew. I was just with their nanny and I didn't know how to get them to calm down. They spotted Timezone, checked their bag and found their Timezone card and ran to the arcade. For a few hours, we just the random games that they had and tried to get a lot of tokens. They really enjoyed controlling the machine and trying to get a stuffed toy.
