This Japanese play place is the one of the best you'll find in Metro Manila. First off, it is very affordable. They have rates available for 1 hour (P200) or for 3 hours (P400) with one free guardian per child. Second, the staff is very attentive. Unlike other play areas I've been to, this one has a lot of staff to pick up after the kids and to ensure that all the toys and equipment are in the right places after the kids are done playing with them. They keep everything clean and well-organized yet are not intrusive with the natural pace of play of the kids.
Finally, they have the best toys and equipment you'll find anywhere. They base the concepts on Karada (Physical Health) and Kokoro (Intellectual and Emotional Health). Everything you will see in there is carefully chosen by experts to help reinforce a child's motor skills. The 36 movements that should be acquired during a child's developmental stages are in full focus. Everything is imported from Japan and some European countries.
Outside the play area, Kidzoona has several coin-operated machines - cars, a bus, a motorcycle, a pony, a train cart and even a helicopter that goes up and down. For P50, you can get 6 tokens from the counter. Each machine can run with just 1 token and can hold up to 3 kids.
Inside the paid play area, they have a huge ball pool (the biggest I've seen so far) with slides and climbing equipment. They also have an area for puzzles, trains and pretend play. The pretend play area is divided into several sections, each one with a theme and even some kid-sized uniforms. There's a supermarket right beside a little kitchen, a post office, a fire engine and a fire department, a burger shop, a patisserie, a sushi bar and an ice cream shop. Each section has high-quality toys such as ice cream you can serve with a scoop, cones and cloth fruits or sushi components (ie rice and egg or salmon) which you can put together with the velcro pieces or wooden fruits you can pretend to cut as they split in half when the plastic knife is driven through them.
We tested this place with three toddlers (ages 2, 3 and 3 1/2), all of them played quietly and really enjoyed. There's also a lounge area for adults which features free wifi. We could spend hours in this place and not get tired. When they said it's a place to be enjoyed by both kids and adults, they delivered on that promise. In fact, our kids went crazy because it was time to leave and adults were a little bit sad to say good-bye, too. read more
