If you've ever been to DisneyQuest in Orlando, it's sort of a smaller version of that, geared toward a younger crowd. They have a "participant" ticket for 1500 pesos which includes access to all the attractions and a "non-participant" ticket for 350 pesos. Non-participants get to walk around the facility, as well as the Shrek House and Madagascar areas. Basically a cheaper chaperone ticket for the adults that are accompanying the children. You can also upgrade from your ticket at any time if you decide you want to take part in the fun. There's also a VIP pass for 2999 pesos which includes a meal (food, drink, and ice cream) and the ability to skip the line. Although when we went there weren't really many lines for anything so I'm not sure if it's worth it. We only got non-participant tickets just to take a look around but even that was pretty fun. The facility is well designed and well maintained it feels like a legitimate theme park. Even just walking around the themed areas was entertaining and there were various activities scattered around. We got lots of cute pictures and even got a pic with Alex the lion from Madagascar. Although we didn't try any of the attractions they also looked like a ton of fun for kids. It includes things like ropes course, cooking class, theater, and lots of games. DreamPlay is definitely a place to check out if you've got children, especially if they're a big Dreamworks fan!

Dreamplay, City of Dreams Manila some of your staff and crew need a better understanding of Autism,…read morewe had a reservation for 4 pm today under Jerome (3 participant and myself). When we came back at 3:50 pm I was not allowed in because I was not wearing a badge. I told her I was just there to really watch Jerome and when I did the reservation I was not wearing one either. The young girl was obviously not aware of Autism and so is her idiot of a Manager. Seriously? I really don't mind paying an upgrade if it was mentioned when I made a reservation for my son. All other staff at the center was pretty accomodating with my son. FYI my son was wearing a medical bracelet. Thank you for ruining an almost perfect day for my son. #autismsocietyphilippines #dreamplace #cityofdreamsmanila #cityofdreamsplace #autismfamily #autismawareness #autismacceptance #OnlyInThePhilippines

While most reviews for Manila Zoo would probably be more towards the negative side - talking about…read morethe sad state of the animals and the increasing need for rehabilitation of the zoo, there is light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Kinder Zoo. This is the paid area inside Manila's Zoological and Botanical Garden that offers a little more animal interaction than what you would get if you just go through the general admission area. They have cuckatoos and Hyacinth macaw, a butterfly holding area, horseback riding for kids and so much more. You can also feed a 50-year-old Sulcata Tortoise, watch the playful Gibbon or pet the potbellied pig. For kids who are more into wildlife, they can have animal encounters with a Cayman Crocodile or a Burmese Python. Kinder Zoo isn't just about animals. Kids can have fun by taking a dip in their clean pool. Do plan to bring your bathing suit and a towel if you intend to go inside Kinder Zoo, the pool is really clean and is refreshing for kids who have been walking inside Manila Zoo all day. They also have other fun activities such as zip lines, wall climbing or crossing a hanging bridge. Tip: The entrance to Manila Zoo is different from Kinder Zoo. Prepare about P100 (non-Manilan rate; if you live in Manila the rate is half off with an ID) for the entrance fee into Manila Zoo for adults and children above 4 feet and another P250 per child for Kinder Zoo and 100 per adult.

I love all the geeky things I can find here, from the new Monopoly game to some science sets (I've always wanted my own chemistry set as a kid but no one ever thought of giving me such a geeky gift). Now that I always have a toddler in tow, I have to stop by Hobbes & Landes every time we go to Greenbelt. Aside from muscle memory at work, I really just love taking my daughter there because the little Lego table keeps her occupied for a good solid hour. When she's done playing, she can always look at the miniature animal models that she loves. And while she's busy looking at the fish tank or playing with the Legos, mommy can go back to her days of geekery and look at the latest cool toys they have to offer.

You can pick up wide variety of educational toys, be it the Lego or the puzzle games. But my personal favorite is the wide variety of science themed toys that this place sells. My best pick so far has been a basic telescope (cost me around 3,000 peso) that I gifted to a friend's child. It was basic and affordable enough to kindle interest around stars, planet and galaxy. My second best pick would be a binocular (around1000 peso) which was a great gift to enable a kid to explore things around. Also, if you happen to look around, this place also sells craft materials like clay's, paint materials, art kits that you assemble and explore the creative side of your kids.
