I've been watching here since I was in elementary for crying out loud. There's a lot of sentimental value attached to the Ayala cinemas of Alabang Town Center that no other move theater has. The cinemas are decent I would think. In all honesty, I see little to no difference between this cinema and any other. SM, Robinson's they're all the same to me. The only real difference is whether or not there's actually a 3D theater or an IMAX nearby. Haven't been to one of those all lazy boy movie theaters though. Anyway, Alabang Town Center has five cinemas. If you find yourself having to choose between the different ones then don't fret about it since I don't honestly see the difference. What I do like about it though are all the different things you can do while you wait for your movie.

I don't get it that you pay about 200-260 pesos for a ticket and their restroom doesn't even have toilet paper. Instead you're obliged to use a clunky vendo for your napkin necessity. The only edge this cinema has is online booking via Sureseats.com but Commerce Center's theaters are far nicer for me.

I even remember some of the most important films I've ever watched here. The Voltes V movie was one I watched here, when the first Star Wars trilogy (Episodes IV-VI), and so much more. Times have changed and now the cinemas have changed little actually. In fact, the only big difference between then and now is the fact that SM Southmall now has IMAX. I haven't tried it myself though, the only IMAX I've ever tried was the one in Mall of Asia, which was okay. You can do little wrong by patronizing SM cinemas since they're of good quality. I mean, I've been there several times and it's not like I'm complaining each time I go out of the movie house.

I can't stress how great the quality of the movie was, and the…read moreonly complaint I have is that there's only one snack shop in the area where you're allowed to buy food and drinks from (you're not allowed to bring your own inside) and it was pretty meh. Nothing dampens your movie experience like subpar popcorn. But as far as the sound and visual quality of the movie? It blew me away. First off, the screen is huge, as in, HUGE, emboldened and underlined thrice. I can't be sure about the accuracy of this next statement, since my sister is the one who said it and she's 11 years old and claims the internet as her source, but apparently the screen is as large as six elephants standing on top of each other. Looking at the screen, you might find that assessment seems probable. I watched Avengers: Age of Ultron in IMAX and believe me, it was like I was in the fight, like I was right there blasting away all the baddies with Iron Man and Black Widow. And seeing Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr's faces in glorious panoramic 3D? Please, give me more. Definitely pricey, as far as movies go. P500 for a movie isn't a joke, but it's worth it, for the good movies. Heaven knows you don't want to see just any movie in IMAX, so save it for a movie that'll really knock your socks off! It is located at Level 4 Market Market, just beside the cellphone shops. It's open from 10:00 AM till 9:00 PM. I suggest that you go there early so there won't be lots of visitors. If you're visiting alone, the staff are very accommodating and they would love to help you take your photos. The gallery is suitable for children, but I'm not sure with toddlers. Mine is 2 years old and he was running all around the gallery. Good thing the staff were nice! If you have lots of stuff with you, you can just leave it at their reception so you can enjoy having your photos taken without the luggage.
