After looking everywhere in Tahoe for an affordable storage unit, (less than 75$,) storwise had 5x5 lockers for 38$, (insurance was an extra $9 on top of that). In a great location too. Thank you Storwise. Also the manager and I talked about the Bible the day I got there. It's cool. Real people! And you can basically always trust people who talk about the bible. I'm not baptized or anything either One more thing is how accommodating they have been in the last eight months, including giving me a great price when I needed to upgrade to a bigger unit. Britney Malchow, the manager, is a scam artist and she has her minions (in this case Kyle) covering up for her scam. My husband and I had our personal items stored here for 15 months (after the sale of our home in Zephyr Heights) with an automatic bill paid on time every month. We moved back East, so she knew she had free reign, they took everything in the storage shed and then when our movers showed up to pick up our belongings she lied and said my husband had put it in the wrong shed. These people are awful, they took such cherished belongings from me and my family for their own personal gain DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES!! read more

Thieves and crooks. Absolutely the worst business on the planet. Had a locker there and set up autopay, they lost the autopay information and sent one letter before auctioning all of our stuff. The letter went to a mail box that we don't check frequently and we didn't find out until it was too late. Minimal effort was made to contact us, they didn't even bother to call. They also never answer the phone, have mediocre hours (what kind of storage place closes at 4-5pm?!?), and their ladders for second floor storage units are in poor repair and kind of dangerous. They're aren't many options in Tahoe, but please, if you care at all about you stuff do not trust this awful business. Lost thousands of dollars worth of stuff because they can't keep track of autopay paperwork. We got scammed, don't let it happen to you. read more

This place, where do I start! They call me saying that my boyfriend stole money from the till when he was in there paying our bill! What a cop out to try and steal people's units and money, he had a bunch of tools and a couple sets of rims in there we think the place was trying to get our units for none payment and were mad when we came to pay. Or they like to have employees who steal from where they are working and represening there business I pray you choose else where for your storage needs this place is a scam and unprofessional. Why wouldn't you just call the cops in the first place. Because they are on some shady type of crap that's why! We called the police ourselves and contacted a lawyer. When we talked to Kyle today 8/13 only cause we called them he couldn't even say anything other than that My bf wasn't allowed on property anymore once I stated we had called the police ourselves and a lawyer. A terrible place. Online advertising promises rates of $30 and less for a 5x10. Once you book it and show up (in my case after driving from LA), they claim to have no record of your reservation and attempt to sell you a similar unit for $99. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST RIPOFFS IN NEVADA. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau about the false and misleading advertising and terrible service. Avoid at all costs. Also: "upstairs" means up a rickety metal ladder you have to climb to tiny shallow and somewhat dangerous locker. read more

During a recent cold period a fire sprinkler line broke and flooded the storage units with water. I wasn't notified and just happened to go to my storage unit where I found 2 inches of standing water. They never gave an answer as to why I wasn't notified and haven't offered any financial assistance for damages. They don't run a professional business. Avoid using Kingsbury Self Storage. read more
