I have to complain about the service I was given. When putting up the roof, they made tracks in my neighbor's yard, which my neighbor quickly complained about to me:( The roof looks a amazing, but a simple quote to repair some tree damage became replacing the entire roof. Although they assured me that I would only have to pay s agreed upon amount, and they would take care of all the rest, in the end, the amount got increased by boards they said they had to replace. They didn't tell me at the time and ask whether I could afford it or not, or just give me warning. It turned out that boards were not covered by the insurance they were using to replace the whole roof instead of just the damage. When they had told me they needed to replace the whole roof, I got a quote from another roofing company for 1000.00 less than their quote, but the other company said they could not start immediately, and since a buyer for the home wanted it started that week, I had to go with them. I thought they were very nice, the guy even came with donuts. We were short $300.00, so they told us they would finance that a couple months. They finished the roof in a very short time, and then they demanded we pay the remainder, or they would not release the warranty for the buyers. The sale fell through, but I went ahead and paid the $300.00 back with a credit card. Then we got another bill, and they added the $400.00 more for uncovered wood. I asked them to send me the final bill since I had paid $300.00 since the current bill. I never received it. I called the insurance, but they said they do not cover added expense anyways. It was not approved by us either, but they did not take it off:( Good news, ultimately, since my husband and I had both lost our jobs at Christmas, and this was in May, my insurance company covered the $400.00 as well. We did subsequently sell the house without adding back the price of the roof, so we had to find money to get the sale through. I then get an email about Storm Guard trying to put a zlein on me. I contacted them right away, and told them I still had not received a final bill from them. Katie from the office then emailed me a copy, still showing the 400.00, and not appearing to have taken my $300.00 off. I didn't want to send my credit card via email, so I responded to have them call for my credit card information. I was tired of fighting with them, and I needed it to be over. They never called me. I tried to call them. Then, I get served with a intent to lien. Storm Guard without notice tried to put a lien on our existing house for the remaining bill (which is illegal, they can not lien what they did not repair) I finally left my credit card info on their voice mail, and I can only hope this nightmare is over:( I have still not received the warranty I should pass on to the new owners of my son's house we sold, but they did send a receipt for my payment with a survey of whether they did a good job or not, but it was disabled.. I couldn't respond. (It was a "Square" receipt, not even a Invoice Paid:( So, good luck. Again, the final roof does look good.. but was it worth it to me.. No:( read more
