I started out loving storage sense - it was clean, climate controlled, in a good area, and had an indoor drive-up option. It was more expensive than other facilities, but was worth the money to me. However, the service gradually went downhill until I didn't feel comfortable leaving my items at storage sense anymore. The building seemed poorly maintained and the climate control was poor but the price kept increasing. Staff provided awful customer service - calls for action were sent out without an advance notice and my attempts at communication were ignored. For example, there were several instances where I was asked for proof of insurance, but then charged for lack of insurance before the stated deadline even though I sent over my documentation well in advance. Most recently, I called for information about move-out procedures, and was told that I just had to send an email notifying Storage Sense of the vacancy once I moved out, and then I would receive a prorated rate for the remainder of the month. I was not informed of a requirement of written notice 10 days in advance or what the email had to contain. When I later requested said prorate, I was (unprofessionally, as if the store manager was sending a text to a friend) told that Storage Sense does not prorate rent, then she ended up ignoring my emails. I reached out to the corporate office, but have not yet heard back. I strongly believe that Storage Sense conducts itself dishonestly to trick its customers into spending unnecessary amounts of money and would only recommend it if there were no other storage facilities available.
Edit: I see below that the business owner replied and asked me to email them to discuss more. I have tried that, along with calling the corporate office, and my issue was not resolved. read more
