We had to go for the full spa treatment - they packed us, moved our stuff into storage, then move it out of storage and into our new home. The staff were all great from start to finish. The best part is that all the actual movers enjoyed each other and got along well. Imagine being a mover and having to carry a china hutch with your office enemy. Not at all an issue with Kato Moving! Were there a few issues with the move? Sure, but what move goes off without a hitch? One issue with Kato Moving is that they were not great at labeling boxes. Most boxes from the basement were just labeled "basement" despite there being five different rooms in the basement (two storage rooms, one mechanical room, one office, and one bedroom). If they had been better at labeling boxes we would have had an easier time knowing where a box went in the new home. The second issue has been a bit more costly. One of the movers took apart my Ikea bed for moving. Please know that Kato Moving insurance does not cover any particle board furniture. The problem came up when it was put together again at our new home. One of the side rails was jammed together too roughly. That has resulted in the side railing splitting and falling apart. Unfortunately that means I have to buy a whole new bed since Ikea doesn't sell parts. When moving our family motto has always been "Beds are the last thing on so they are the first things off!". If you have two trucks for moving have the furniture on one truck and boxes on the second. Request to have the furniture placed first. Then the boxes can easily go into the correct rooms.

They are completely trust worthy. I have never had a bad experience with this moving company. 5 star company and there are a lot of moving companies that don't care about your stuff. This is the BEST MOVING COMPANY I've ever encountered. Price is better than most and they go thru everything thing they charge for very carefully so you understand charges. I moved state to state with them, and all local moves I've made. I just don't call any other moving company. This company is outstanding about their care with your items. I had a unit for almost one year with Highway 14 Self Storage and have mixed reviews. Honestly I…read morewas impressed with the cleanliness and security offered, however their office management needs improvement. The owner moves around a lot, as she owns storage units in multiple towns around Southern Minnesota and seems to have a hard time keeping track of her leases. After my first three months I downsized from a 10 x 20 to a 5 x 10, during this transition my key was "misplaced" so I was charged for both units and my deposit wasn't refunded. We had a conversation and my deposit and monthly fee were refunded due to key being located. Forward eight months, I give 30 day notice my unit is no longer needed - she informs me she won't prorate so I keep the unit till the end of the month. My key was mailed to her one week prior to the end of the month and my notice was given but she charged me anyway and saying my key is missing. I think this is a common theme and she keeps misplacing my key. So frustrated and out $80.00, although I am trying to get $40 back and have her keep the deposit I am left with a sour taste in my mouth. I'd recommend renting somewhere else or make sure you directly hand in your key to save yourself the trouble.
