Rented the larger unit online and the staff at Axess graciously pro-rated my rent on the smaller unit and applied it to the larger one, rather than forcing me to pay for both units. The staff were very responsive, the online tools to rent the unit were easy-to-use, and the overall cheerfulness and kindness of the staff were a great encouragement to me on what was a rather stressful weekend. I've rented from a number of storage units over the years, and I was very favorably impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the folks at Axess. First, the prices are reasonable. We contracted for a 5' x 10' storage space to move our student's belongings during the summer months. The price was $60 and we received a 50% off for the second month. There was a $10 service fee which was also quite reasonable. Beth, the woman I dealt with was professional, friendly and had an amazing funny streak! I loved speaking with her. She made everything easy. They have larger storage space but we only needed to store a bed/dresser and other odds and ends. It's comforting to know this place exists as we need to move our student's belongings for the summer. Deceptive business practices. I was bated, switched and scammed. I made a confirmed reservation for…read morea storage space on line and when I arrived from out of state I was told online reservations were a "request" and not a reservation, and the storage space I reserved was not available. The "only" space that was available was twice the size and price of the one I reserved. I was then asked to provide a different email address than my U-Haul account was under "for security reasons". This is the address the "new" reservation was placed under. Later I received an email to ask for feedback on why I was I was a "no show" for the original reservation placed under my original U-Haul account. I contacted the manager with no response. The staff told me they were the only U-Haul in a town with two universities so customer service didn't matter.
