Couldn't even see it until I pulled the chicken apart since it was covered in batter. It's pretty disgusting when you have to pull the feathers out of raw chicken, but at least that's easy to see before it's cooked. Needless to say, it was pretty gross and I tossed it all. Waste of money and will never buy prepared foods there again.

The meats are all Boar's Head and a truck comes quite often....as I see it driving by why I'm running on the treadmill at the gym next-door! Customer service is superior. The place is family owned and they will go out of their way to help you. The place gets a lot of foot traffic, but there are never any lines or crowds. And yes, they have coffee, for a dollar, any size! I'm quite the coffee snob and I'm telling you it's pretty good. Check this place out! Thankfully, I was correct - this store was infinitely better! Lots of bargains to be had. Lots of things that look like bargains but the packaging or quantity is just smaller. You have to be sharp wandering the aisles but that's what makes it fun. They have brand names and generics. The best part is that the stuff you do ostensibly recognize is slightly...off. Like it's a flavor that you haven't seen here in the states but you know the item. Check out the picture of my haul, por ejemplo. We all know Manwich tomato sauce in the can but have you ever heard of BBQ Bourbon flavor?? Well they have it in Mexico and it has made its way to Trenton. Also my apple fritters were in a container labeled pumpkin donuts lololol. If you can get past the idiosyncrasies, you'll enjoy it here and save money!

Out of four food catering events, everything was either sour or bad twice. One time, I had a family emergency, and they refused to cancel the catering 72 hours in advance. The manager on call was miserable and disrespectful. Also, note that this location, being close to the beaches, loses power all the time; it's not even funny. I understand that they couldn't control power outages, which is fine. But on July 3, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., there was one of many power outages at this location in Brick. The way this manager, on the supermarket side (not the liquor store), was talking to customers waiting in the store while the power went out with food in their carts was appalling. Not one person was acting out; everyone was waiting by the registers for the power to come back to check out. This manager on call, again, was the most nasty person. I got so pissed at this point; it was so unnecessary how this guy was talking to all the customers. I swear I will never visit this location again and will tell everyone I speak with to avoid this location at all costs. They need to clean house with their managers; half of them are the worst.

The ground coffee and espresso aisle is by far the best of any market in the area, with a variety of Cuban-American, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Colombian brands. This is only of the few places in the area that you'll find good quality platanos, yuca/cassava, and any kind of tropical fruit. The slight downsides are that the prices are often slightly higher than a regular supermarket, and there never seem to be enough cashiers working.
