The chicken piccata was disappointing. There was something in it that threw me off. It was possibly too lemony or some type of flavor I could not determine was not the best. The ground coffee and espresso aisle is by far the best of any market in the area, with a variety of Cuban-American, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Colombian brands. There are always deals and specials going on for coffee. The produce section is another highlight. This is only of the few places in the area that you'll find good quality platanos, yuca/cassava, and any kind of tropical fruit. The slight downsides are that the prices are often slightly higher than a regular supermarket, and there never seem to be enough cashiers working.

Consistently, I am prompted to 'PLEASE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE'. One day I had too many empty bags that I brought with me for my groceries and the system mistook that for bagging an item that wasn't scanned. ' PLEASE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE'. One day the items that I scanned and bagged were too light for the system to acknowledge being bagged, unfortunately I bought 3 boxes of pudding that day. 'PLEASE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE'. From the time you scan the item you have 2 seconds to bag it, otherwise...yep, you guessed it, 'PLEASE WAIT FOR ASSISTANCE' I would use the human cashiers, but unfortunately most of them see it as a race and my items wind up in a big pile at the end of the items counter , while I work hard to catch up. Some have asked if they could help bag and I have agreed for the better good, but, and I kid you not, I have taken a bag of apples off of my 2 loaves of bread when I got home. So, what to do, what to do... that is up to you ShopRite. As you are deciding what's best for ALL concerned I'll be on side WAITING FOR ASSISTANCE!
