What stood out most about my visit was how immaculately clean the store is, both inside and out. When I pulled into a parking space in back of the building (the front of the building is for refueling only), I saw an employee diligently sweeping up trash in the parking lot. Another employee was straightening out merchandise in between running the register. The older female employee at the register wore bright red lipstick and a multicolored scarf. She was just a tad too upbeat in her demeanor, to the point it was almost disconcerting. In contrast, her coworker wore a sourpuss on her face. It reminded me of a good cop/bad cop routine, or perhaps an old Odd Couple television series episode. I don't think there are many gas stations in Barrington, but this is a good one and has most of the bases covered. Besides the cramped parking lot, the only fault I could find was that the toilet was extremely loose, and rocked just from me lifting the seat up ... they need to call a plumber, stat.

But, they are so cramped for space that I literally caused a one-man traffic jam in the lot just parking to use the air pump. Worse yet, the filling ports for the underground fuel storage tanks are in front of the garage bay doors, so if my modest-sized work van caused such chaos, I can only imagine how much worse navigating the gas pumps would be when a tanker truck is making a fuel delivery. Other reasons for my low rating is that they do not sell diesel fuel, and only have the barest selection of drinks (one small cooler) and snacks. I get that it's a gas station/automotive repair garage, and not a convenience store, but if you have to make a stop, why not stop at a place that has both? They sell BP-branded gas, and the price was about average. Oh, and the air pump was free.

Connor, from Dunkin Donuts, managed to get my car started so I could get it across the street to Tiverton Sun. When I had called Tiverton Sun and told them my predicament, the mechanic, Rob, even drove to the Dunkin Donuts to check on the car, but I had already brought it across. He took the car right away, while still trying to help other customers. He diagnosed the problem right away, and he was able to get me the car the next day. He also noticed that the car had trouble with, not just one, but 2 sensors. The price for fixing the car was so reasonable, too. I cannot thank all the gentlemen at Tiverton Sun. Please take your car there. They did tell me they do not do every repair job, but they are up front and honest, and they will tell you if they can fix your car. Again, highly recommended!

I called George at Sunco and he told me to just come in, no appointment needed and that they opened at 8. When I arrived ten to 8, there were already 4 people waiting in line ahead of me for service. George is a one man act, pumping gas, greeting people driving by who shout his name, and organizing people waiting in line for car service. It's a bit disorganized, but regardless he moves people through pretty quickly. It's been awhile since I've been to a full service gas station, and as a millennial, I'm more accustom to pumping my own gas and being self-sufficient. That said, I can see the people who really benefited from someone to pump for them, like seniors, moms with cars full of kids, and people with physical handicaps. Overall, prices are pretty good, service is personal, and George seems like a person everyone knows by name in this area of Tiverton. Fast emissions test first thing on a Saturday worked well for me, but other than that, I'd leave the full service gas option to others.

It was a bit confusing to a newb like me as I had to go to four separate machines to get my coffee. First grab a cup, then ice, then milk, then flavoring, then finally coffee. Ten another location for lids and straws. It must be a madhouse in there during rush hour. Having said that, my coffee was tasty and rivaled DD. The coffee area was clean and the cashier was very friendly. All in all I'd get the coffee again.
