I found the movie schedule and times on line -- as it seems they hadn't updated the marquee signs yet. But they are obviously short staffed. The same guy who opened the doors and sold the tickets, he also made the popcorn. The theater where the movie we were seeing was shown was small with one center aisle and rows with four seats on either side of the aisle. As we were there early, there were only a few other folks in our movie showing. It was like having a private theater. The seats do go back, but they aren't automated. You have to "push" to get them to recline. The amazing part is the price. All movies are only $6 per person. Add in a combo of a drink and a small popcorn for only $7. They have first run as well as some limited and artsy films. We'd definitely come here again if in the area. Such an inexpensive opportunity for date night or daytime entertainment.

There's ample parking in the free lot out front. Most folks make their reservations online before coming to the theater. You also choose your seat assignment at that time, too. I used fandango. As you enter, there are two machines on the right side where you can enter your confirmation numbers. The machine then prints out your tickets. We only saw one staff member. She was working the snack bar. I assume you can also buy tickets on site from her as well. We were seeing a matinee and there were only a few other folks in the theater. The screen is large and the sound system is more than loud enough for anyone. The only negative was that it was freezing cold. Next time, I'll know to bring a sweater.

We had purchased our tickets a week earlier and were lucky enough to score some aisle seats seven rows back from the stage. When we entered the Playhouse to find our seats we were very happy with our seats. As we looked around we both noted that there are really NO bad seats in the house. It looks like excellent viewing from each area and seat. Another part of our enjoyable evening was the Play, players and the genuinely appreciative audience. So happy we came and look forward to upcoming shows and continued support of the Lake Worth Playhouse!

You can read about its history on one of the plaques just inside the entrance (see photo). We'd walked by a couple weeks ago and Roy bought us tickets. You can also do so online, but we wanted to see the layout of the seats. Turns out we were in great ones only 7 rows back and on the aisle. But the playhouse is small enough -- with no obstructing poles -- that almost any seat would offer a good view of the stage. Plus the acoustics were very good, too. For the evening shows, they open the doors at 7 pm for seating for the 7:30 show. They have a small snack bar (cash) in the lobby. We saw "Kiss me Kate" which was excellent. The cast were wonderful singers and although the musical is long, it was enjoyable. There was an intermission half way through. It's playing here for another week, btw. Both Roy and I were active in our high school drama clubs. We appreciate the efforts of all involved in putting on a production. It was so nice here to witness the frequent and heartfelt applause for every performer. And people didn't rush out of the theater en masse, either, as they do in Fort Lauderdale. Seats were clean and I always loved the clean sweet smell of the theater. Throw blankets were waiting for us as well. Our waiter came to us just as our movie started. Drinks and the charcuterie plate took about 20 mins. This has been the standard wait time, especially with a full theater. We had a great time and enjoyed our movie.

And it's really great! The auditoriums are sensational, they look great, they're clean and they have comfortable chairs and blankets so it's very enjoyable to watch a movie here. You could also order food from their extensive menu and have it delivered to your seat, which is great. The food is pretty good quality too, and for a movie theater it's unbelievably good. If you haven't seen a movie here I would strongly recommend checking it out. This place rules. Five stars!

There are partition walls to divide the chairs from the next set of chairs. The tilt screen seemed wider and I felt like I had to look left to see it all. The regular screen doesn't make me have to tilt my head. Large popcorn was $10.25. You can add your own butter flavor oil at the counter. The theater is clean. There is plenty of parking in the attached lot.

This Paragon location is relatively smaller than the one in Coconut creek but still nice. The dine-in feature is convenient which was the man reason for me coming here. Definitely a step above regular theaters. And the seats themselves were super comfortable. If it were just for the movie quality and the seats alone I'd definitely give EVO another 5 star review. However the food service was dreadful. Our movie started at 7:00 and right on the dot we ordered our food, one of the perks of sitting in the dine-in pod seats. Times ticking away, the movies playing, nothing arrives. Literally waited an hour and 15 minutes until I felt the urge to go check and see what was up, missing some of the movie in the process. I get to the lobby where the door to the kitchen is, our order is sitting there on a tray and there's a waiter with his back to me, eating something right over our food. I was absolutely disgusted and wound up not eating it. Also you got to be kidding me with these bathrooms, they are absolutely revolting. Every toilet seat is covered in piss, the floors are filthy, the sinks are dirty, some of the sink fixtures are rusty, most of the soap dispensers have no soap, even the hand dryer was dirty and moldy. It was an absolute abomination. All in all I'll give EVO 3 stars this time around. If they cant improve the bathrooms and the food service, I don't really care how good the IMAX looks, I'm definitely not going to be coming back.
