One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

Due to his poor execution, we have been responsible for late fees and penalties. He disregarded our request. According to other reviews, their taxes have been filed on time; however, for the past 2-3 years, our taxes have never been filed on time with Elliot. My recommendation is that he shouldn't take new clients if he does not have enough staff members in his team to meet the demand. He came in recommended but based on our interaction with him and his performance, we would not recommend him.

The services they offer are very expensive but cover various areas. I paid them a large amount of money for a specific tax request just to be told that my payment dud not include the service I requested. That was infuriating. These people know their field, I'm sure, but their communication is just horrible. They feel like a company that is stretched too thin to provide any level of competent customer service whatsoever.
