My boyfriend and I are interested in crystals and rocks, and we recently decided we wanted to try rock tumbling. We saw this store while on vacation and wanted to stop in. We were able to spot some of the selection from the window. This store had a wide selection and everything was labeled and sorted into different bins. Labels felt easy to read and were printed out. Organization was great, easy to follow and didn't look like things were out of place (which can happen when haphazardly sorting through them). Store looked clean and when we went in it wasn't too crowded so there was room to move around the store. We purchased some Yooperlite and the sales associate showed us they have a corner dedicated to black light. In that area you could see exactly what crystals of that nature how they react before you purchase them. They also helped my boyfriend pick out a nice Geode we could crack open at home and clearly explained the pricing on it. We opened it at home and it looked beautiful! Customer service was fabulous. My boyfriend was very eager to chat about rocks and the sales associate seemed very knowledgeable and engaging with him when though my boyfriend was probably a little too overexcited. Everything was priced fairly and upon checkout the sales associate put each item neatly into individual bags with a card explaining their backgrounds. We bought some larger breakable stones that sales associate kindly wrapped and sealed each of those for the trip home. We are so excited to add our purchases to our collection! We loved the Geode and it's now on display in our home! We would love to come back here! read more

This shop had a good selection and reasonable prices. There were some interesting items like fossils, and a lot of stones had more expensive as well as budget options including for bracelets, rings, worry stones, etc. The guy at the counter didn't seem to into the whole thing, but he was quick and helpful. I think this place is awesome! There's so much to see and is truly a fun place to walk around. They have so many fossils and even stones in the shape of animals and figurines and shapes like moons, hearts, etc.! I also love how with most stones they give you a little card with a little description about your stone (as of writing this). I think the prices are generally fair, and the people working there always seem to be kind. I really have fun walking around here, and I can't wait to go back! read more

Stoneworks Lapidary is a family-run shop selling a nice selection of stones of various sizes and prices. They have single rocks as well as jewelry fashioned from stones. They make much of the jewelry onsite, and the metalwork is quite intricate on many of the pieces. I was eyeing a beautiful gold necklace encasing a Mexican agate, and my bf got it for me as a gift. The necklace was a bit too long, so they shortened it to my liking. Every time I wear it, I get so many compliments and questions about the type of stone and where I found the piece. They also have huge stones and display pieces that may be for sale but may just live there. The 2nd floor is for the more specialized collector and features mostly fossils. This is a nice shop run by friendly folks. Many shop locations in Rehoboth tend to change by the season, but when I visited they were located in the Mews. Check them out! read more

Best gem shop I've ever been in, and that includes places in NYC. An incredible and varied selection for gems at fair prices and friendly and helpful staff. My daughter loved all the dinosaur fossils. Child friendly- they had no issue with my daughter touching things. A nice change of place from all the beach shops selling t-shirts. I had a very troubling experience at this shop. Everyone was pretty rude, including the owner, Frank. I asked to see some crystal skulls and the case was opened for me. I've been involved in the crystal skull community for over twenty years, along with alternative medicine. One skull was on a high shelf and Frank got it down for me. However, I was looking at all of their crystal skulls and Frank just stood there next to me the entire time, scowling at me and I felt VERY pressured and not welcome at his store. Before I choose a crystal skull, I like to tune into their energy. I don't go on looks, alone. You would think the people that work at this type of store, especially the owner, would be understanding and would be okay with me taking my time. After all, this was before closing and I may have been there about five minutes . However, Frank finally stormed out and was constantly glaring at me and throwing hateful looks my way, as he passed by the window outside. It was really strange. This happened *before* closing time, too, as I mentioned. Even after I left and while I was waiting for my ride, Frank was taking out the trash for the store and was just in such a horrible mood. There was no pleasantries, or politeness coming from him... just constant scowling. It was almost as if he was pissed off that I had even showed up at his store. Why, though? I did not feel welcome at all and it was a little scary. I understand that we all have bad days, but this seemed a little excessive. I was planning on buying several hundred dollars worth of skulls, but the vibe was so heavy that I decided not to. I still purchased one item, but, wow!.. I have never felt such negative vibes from a store owner before, as a customer. Not sure why he owns this shop if he is not welcoming to his own customers and makes them feel unwanted. I visited this store in September 2021. The variety and amount of stone and crystal stock was enormous. I purchased two himalayan salt lamps, which I absolutely LOVE! The staff was friendly and helpful too! For the reviewer who commented about masks, you should really just STAY LOCKED UP IN YOUR HOME and stop taking out your anger on small, local businesses! Regardless of the official narrative (lies) being told by the bobblehead, teleprompter reading media, we do NOT have a pandemic. It is actually a highly treatable, non deadly endemic virus. I just wanted to leave a review based on something I witnessed at this store recently. I was getting a bracelet for my girlfriend and another customer asked to see a stone that she couldn't reach. One of the employees said she couldn't reach it, either, and what did the customer want her to do about it? I thought to myself, doesn't she have a step stool? She asked the man, who I believe was the owner of the store, to help, and he proceeded to loom over this customer while she was looking at other stones, too, looking quite menacing and saying nothing to the customer at all. He was just glaring at her. I don't know if she bought anything, as I left before her, but I didn't understand why a customer was being treated so poorly. The owner seemed so angry that she was interested in more than one stone. She didn't need help reaching anything else, as she was looking at stones on shelves she could reach, but he stayed there looking angry, then, stormed off in a very rude manner. This customer was very sweet and kind. I even saw her later and mentioned what I witnessed to her. She said she had worked at a few crystal/metaphysical shops, herself, and had never experienced anything like it before. Such a great shop. My son and I spent so long wandering around looking at every single thing but ended up leaving without making a purchase (which I actually regret lol). The staff was the sweetest!! I'm still learning about crystals and the woman working let me read through her book and take pictures of whatever I needed. She also opened it up for a few customers when she was waiting for a delivery, which I greatly appreciate. Not covid safe-very disappointed. This store is one of my daughters very favorite at Rehoboth Beach, DE. We went to visit on Saturday September 26, 2020. However we were shocked and again disappointed to see that the cashier was wearing her mask u see her chin, not covering mouth and nose and a patron was in there without a mask. The town clearly posts masks are mandatory and this is not a new phenomenon in the midst of this pandemic. You lost are business and we are very disappointed. Me and my fiance always look for rocks and stones at farmers markets etc. We finally happened upon this place and it is probably one of the most amazing rock shops I have ever been to. They have sculptures of all shapes/sizes/rocks of all sizes. As I write this I can literally look around my living room and see at least 5 of the great pieces I bought from here! They also have some cool small animal sculptures as well, I believe we have 2 or 3 of those. read more

I LOVE the Stoneworks Lapidary store. My partner & I found it by complete accident last September when we were in town and couldn't stop coming back (we came here I think three times over the course of our three-day vacation!) Their staff is SO friendly and wonderful and were so kind to us as we took our time looking over every stone in the store before we decided which ones to buy. The store is also lovely and has a really light, airy feel to it. It's full of every kind of stone imaginable and in fact the first time we walked into the place, I asked off-handedly if they had a rare stone I'd been looking for all over the DMV area, assuming they would say no. But they actually had not only one piece of it, but three! Their prices are amazing, too. For a giant hunk of this hard-to-find stone, I only paid around $35, which is a freakin' steal. Their collection, customer service, and general warmth & good vibes kept us coming back, and now I just regret that I don't live closer so I could come here more regularly. Also: When we moved, I accidentally lost some pieces of a stone candle we'd bought here, so I gave them a call and asked if I could order replacement pieces. Not only were they so, so kind about helping me out and shipping me the pieces I'd lost, but they also offered to ship them free of charge. (Free!) I don't think I've *ever* had a better experience in any store, ever, whether it was a metaphysical place or any other type of shop. In summary: Truly lovely people with warm hearts, and a gorgeous store with fabulous prices and a great selection. Everything I've bought here has turned out to be a real "gem" -- pun intended ;) I highly recommend you stop by here if you're in town!! read more
