Often, a full-time nurse or medically trained professional is not necessary to keep an aging parent or a recuperating son or daughter in his or her own home. You might simply need someone to prepare meals and administer medication during the times you cannot be there. We can do that, too. We would consider it an honor to design a plan for you and what you specifically need for yourself or someone you care about. Rest assured that we are committed to treating each client with the respect and dignity he or she deserves...because we're more than just caregivers, we're family!...

Considering the times (COVID and continued staffing issues for ALL health care/medical entities) I knew this was going to be difficult. Amada came through like champs! Interviewed us to get a care plan in place to cover all of dad's needs, called to review the plan to make sure nothing had been missed, then sent me the most amazingly bright, cheery, knowledgeable, and professional caregiver to take care of dad and give me a break. She was so patient with me (I was too nervous)...dad's a jewel of a human being but his needs are bit intense (meds & restricted fluids) because timing is everything. Sonja didn't miss a beat. Amada Senior Care was truly accommodating, allowing me to set a pretty standard schedule for them to provide the Respite Care so I could schedule my own appointments ahead of time. Having a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, as well as having worked the field for many years, I have very high expectations...Amada Senior Care has, thus far, exceeded those expectations. I do not fear leaving my loving father in their capable hands. It is apparent they are quite selective in their staffing and provide appropriate training for their team~B

I was sat down with a case worker (Lindsey) and a social worker (Laura Ann). I was told everything that would happen when he went home and that they were available to help if we had problems after leaving. The problems started immediately and I was never called to be told problems even existed. Everyone seemed to blame the insurance, but when I called the insurance, I was informed of what they needed. I called everyone that it pertained to including Lindsey, and was told by her I didn't know what I was talking about. And that because my father had already been discharged she wasn't responsible for helping me. Thank goodness I am capable of making phone calls to get to the bottom of things, because we now have the ball rolling, more than a week after he was discharged without home health or any of the therapies he needs. I won't post details, but I will say this hospital has a serious issue with follow up. Don't say you will help families after they leave and then just drop the ball. Maybe take a little time to listen to the families or even call them back when it's requested. I've been out of work for almost 4 weeks, caring for my beloved father when I was told I would have help with 48 hours of getting him home. I will say I loved his nurses and therapists. They were absolutely wonderful.
