I had a patient at Richland Place, Health Center in Nashville (Elmington), I was disappointed with some of the staff when asked to assist with transfers. I transferred the patient from wheelchair to recliner however, I needed assistance from staff to help me re-position. The staff came to the room, told patient to stand up and use the walker and position herself on the recliner. The staff was very rude and hesitant to help, stated I had to do everything for the patient and left. read more

I would give this facility a couple more stars for decent food, physical therapy and few of the people who work there who actually do care about clients in rehab. I feel sorry for elders who are stuck in the sterile institutional setting at the mercy of many (there are some exceptions) overworked and understaffed CNAs with attitudes, who vent their hostility on their fragile clients. Clients complain of frequent theft, families who have abandoned them. They feel that management doesn't listen to older folk. The owners of this conglomerate should try staying there themselves for just desserts for a few months read more

Management is beyond immature, and unprofessional. They paint a good picture going into the facility but do not follow through with that and only care about money. read more

After having knee replacement surgery my device failed,at week five recovery I had to go back to surgery. I had the fail prosthetic removed along with broken bone. I spent the last three weeks in Richland Place Rehabilitation Hospital. It is an excellent facility and my nurses and tech were fantastic. I thank God this facility is there and takes most insurance. Shout outs to my nurses Dasiy & Ekene Tech's CJ and my afternoon lady with the blond hair not forgetting Pam. Food is great for a nursing home. The PA's and doctor are very responsive. This was my second stay the first being ten years ago. The staff has changed but the level of care has improved from good to better! Love you all!! The new admin was approachable and my caseworker LaShonda was magnificent. If I ever need in house care again I will be seeking Richland Place. read more

My mother entered Richland place in the series of 3 different times In 2 months after trips back-and-forth to the hospital. She had multiple stroke. The staff there was absolutely wonderful took great care of her and were very kind to her family. Any issues were dealt with quickly. Her roommate Had been there a year and her family was very happy at the care she had Received and was very complimentary of the nursing staff on her hallway. My primary care doctor several nurses at the hospital were all very happy when I told them we got into richland. They praised their physical therapy and their general care. This is one of if not the best Facility in nashville. I hate that people only post reviews when they have a problem. read more

Mother-in-law had to convalesce and have rehab after a fall. Caring, patient and attentive staff.

On my arrival amy first wheelchair ride to the second floor, three days post op back surgery, I was a nervous wreck! The greeting I received was from three angels (CNAs) helping me to get into bed. The room was very clean and the smiles of all the employees were comforting! My first weekend was rough, the pain was pretty intense at times! CJ my day time CNA, woke me with a smile and friendly notice of when my therapy would begin. She helped me wake up and get a move on for the day! Vee my weekend daytime nurse was sent from God!! He had had back surgery himself and he helped me and the CNAs know that it would take me longer to get in and out of bed, longer to get to the bathroom and that as time went on it would get better. Lynn my Monday nurse made me think I was seeing angels, the first time I saw her. She listened and she made sure I had all I needed to get better! There was my night time CNA Rebecca! She was always there with a smile and when it took me 30 minutes to get into bed or 20 minutes to get up, after calling to say I needed her, she was so patient with me! There are other names and so many people who were there and made my road to recovery a great memory! The chefs, the ones who worked at serving us, would always help me to my table, because I could not move my chair out from the table or ull it up, someone always helped! Twice I wanted a grilled chicken breast and they made it for me, even though it wasn't on the menu! The food and Service was excellent! I have so many people to mention and at 3:00 in the morning, I think I may return with an update! Marcus, Jenna, Jennifer, Amy, Jessica, Garry and so many therapists gave me the motivation to work hard to take back my own Independence! Richland Place is a great facility to be a resident, if only for a brief time! Takisha one of my weekend nurses went down to the pharmacy and checked the original orders from my doctor's and had my medication corrected. I had ask for the pain medication to be reduced in half, which they did! However, they also changed the hours between my meds in error, because of her my weekend took a turn for the best!! I would recommend Richland Place to anyone needing this type of facility. My grandmother passed away here on Thanksgiving day and I know that her last days were filled with excellent care and compassion. Yes, it is expensive - most likely the most expensive in the state but it is worth every penny. It is a luxury facility and the nurses and staff are at an excellent ratio. My grandmother was constantly tended to and the entire third floor knew her and looked after her. They pay special attention to all of the patients. My family is very small so having a large, helpful, caring staff helped us greatly during this sad time. It is clean, well appointed and effective. I really believe that they were able to extend her life until I could get back to Nashville and for that I will always be grateful. Richland Place Nursing Home has my highest recommendation. read more

A dear friend was recently in Richland Place for rehab services. The experience was beyond disheartening. The staff was either indifferent or hostile, and according to my friend, the physical therapist only gave her one exercise to perform and left her sitting. We have had experience with other similar facilities and I would never ever recommend this place! read more

My mother was admitted here after having knee surgery for the 2nd time, please keep in mind my mother is a strong dependable women with a sound mind. the first time I visited she was sitting in a chair drugged out of her mind so badly I had to ask her who was I! My mother was suppose to be there for rehab for her knee the entire time my relatives and I visited she had this knee brace on and was told to keep it on at all times. They also had a sign in the room that read push fluids. Nobody was ever in her room when we walked in so pushing fluids meant nobody was there to help her to the bathroom! she wet herself several times , fell had a knot on her forehead,I was determined to get her out of there so my sister and me decided then and there to go get her! when pulling into the parking lot we noticed an ambulance.I thought nothing of it. turns out they were there for my mother! no one contacted us! And as far as the rehab part I went with my mother once it was a joke! she walked about 10 feet with a walker and that was it. Like I stated before my mother is a strong woman after being there I thought if we didn't get her out of there she was going to be an invalid! The entire time she was there the phone in her room didn't work we reported daily they said they would get it looked at. The day my mother left there is the day they checked on the phone! calling my sister telling her they were calling from that phone. This place is a joke in which no one is laughing! if youre looking to place a loved one somewhere for rehab or assistance living don't stop here keep looking!!!!! read more
