We toured the farm exactly as described on the site. It was super cool and interesting how this farm is specifically focused on fiber rather than other products you would see at a farm. And they give tour to show you their animals and you can feed them and get to know what they do!! It's a cool experience for sure!! First of all, If you want to see the animal, make a reservation online!!! $35 for an hour for up to 4 people for a group tour.. they said they will take up to 4 group at the same time.. but if you are lucky, you might be the only group to go... My tour guide was Regina, and she shared with us what they have in the farm, and would answer any question you might have about it the animal and their job!! She knows her animal, it's like her family member.. she knows their name (and yes.. all their name!!!) and you see the animal knows her too... they have sheep, goat, duck, geese, swan, llama, yaks, and of course, alpaca.. it's kind of an experience when you walk in to the alpaca pan and they ran toward you!! It was a little scary at the beginning, but they are actually very calm and gentle... they will be all over you (and your food).. I would really recommend this place... but do take notice!! This is a working farm, and animals are animals.. so I wouldn't wear your brand new sneaker there to take a walk!! Like Regina said, this is their home and they are not pets, and she doesn't clean up after them.. if you or know what I mean.. :)

When we went they had a band playing that was pretty darn good, I must say. They had a snack stand that sold baked goods, apple cider, and other small bites. Their apple cider donuts were really good (it was the sugared kind). They had a bunch of games for kids such as pumpkin bowling and corn hole. The corn maze was pretty wild. Very large- took about 20/25 minutes to get out. They gave us a map, but it didn't really make any sense so we just went in and figured it out lol. When you finish, you get a free apple - which hit the spot! The hayride was also nice. It was about 15 minutes. They had a giant pumpkin field and photo opportunities set up. They also had a taco food truck there. I didn't have anything from there, but it smelled good. A super cute farm if you want to avoid some of the larger crowds at the other major farms in NJ.

There is a greenhouse filled with house plants, flowers and at this time of year pumpkins galore. Simply a wonderful throwback to the type of mom-and-pop business that is sadly fading in today's corporate run world. They have been in business for almost a century! Same family! Great place!

People breaking the pumpkins because they're sitting on them, it's crowed with TikTok brain rot kids, and lines out the ass. 2. Because it got blown up online, there is no room to breathe. All of the attraction takes an hour to do. It doesn't feel like a farm. It feels like a trap. 3. SPEAKING OF TRAP, we went to the pumpkin patch and decided to not get any pumpkins. The line for the hayride was an hour long. We decided to walk to the parking lot when security stopped us and said we couldn't even get onto the main road. We had no pumpkins. We're not stealing. Our car is literally 1/4th mile away. They called the cops so that no one could leave and we were forced to either get on the hayride or pay for an uber. My Girlfriend got an uber on principle

Now that the kids are older, I heard that they have events for adults at night during fall weekends. I went Saturday night and really enjoyed myself. My wife did also, we made this event our date night and will most likely be back either on a date or with friends. All of the employees were extremely nice and the farm was lit up and decorated beautifully. The choices of food and drinks (alcohol and nonalcoholic) were great. Each food and beverage option was clearly thought out by the owners to make their guests get into the Autumn and Halloween season. There is a gift shop that is filled with country items and different little knickknacks and tasty bites. You enter through the store, so I would recommend buying your stuff before your night begins so they do not run out of stock. There were fires pits and a band that played all night. The band was perfect! They were not loud and just played the right type of music for the atmosphere. I have been to a lot of outside venues like this one and the bands are either too loud or play music that is "just not right". The band Pierson's had was very low key but were excellent musicians and the lead singer had a great voice and their choice of songs were perfect for the atmosphere. The prices for drinks, food and gift shop items are in line with prices at other events of this type in the area. Thank you Pierson's staff and owners for providing such a great event. Francisco Gallery upstairs above the craft store: see http://www.petersvalleygallery.org/artist/current-exhibition-artists The photos that you see online don't do it justice--it really is worth seeing in person if you are interested in fiber art. The exhibit will be up throughl November 6, 2106. =================== original review from March 2016 ===================== Make no mistake - the Peters Valley Craft Store and Gallery sells fine contemporary crafts, not 'cutesy, craftsy' crafts. They have a range of items, often made by artisans with ties to the non-profit crafts school with which they are associated. Sales at the store benefit that non-profit, but if you buy something there it won't feel like an act of charity; you'll be purchasing unique, high-quality handmade items. The store is in a renovated building within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area, in the northwest corner of NJ. It's a beautiful place for a weekend drive any time of the year, but the store's hours are limited in winter. There's more activity (and therefore more shopping hours) in spring, summer, and fall. In December they're open every day. Parking is very limited--there are 3 or 4 parking spots next to the building, and a few more across the street (which is where the rest rooms are). On weekends when something else is going on in the area, it can be a bit hard to park. But it's worth waiting for a spot, or parking somewhere nearby and walking (if you can find space nearby--I'm not sure about street parking within the recreation area). The main level is the store, which has an assortment of ceramics, glass, jewelry, wearables, photography, wooden items, metalwork, candles, and some printed cards. The goods are not cheap, but for handmade fine crafts, they're not exorbitant. Each item is labelled with the name of the craftsperson who made it. I've bought jewelry there (for myself and as a gift), and I've bought Christmas ornaments as gifts. A friend of my winds up buying hand-made pottery every single time he stops there--I don't think he has EVER walked out empty-handed. Upstairs is a gallery that has curated exhibits of fine crafts, which change seasonally and are also for sale. Once a year Peters Valley holds an outdoor juried craft market in the fall. It used to be held near the store, but it has outgrown that space and now it's held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ. Check out https://www.petersvalley.org/html/annual_fall_craft_fair.cfm for info on the annual craft fair. And if you're in northwest NJ, check out the Peters Valley Craft Store--it's definitely worth stopping there.
