Not only was I unaware of the proper way to repair a "cut" ring, but Gregg also noticed a bent/damaged prong. Turn around was faster than expected and the pricing was certainly reasonable. The ring now looks brand new. Fantastic job done. Customer service, quality and convenience all 5 stars. Will certainly use them again and refer anyone in need.

When I questioned why he said the price of silver had gone up. I haven't had jewelry repaired in a while so I wasn't sure so I decided to do it. Then it was going to take a little over a week and I was gonna be out of town so I took them back. I went to another store - Capitol Romance and my total is only going to be $12.

Market Square Jewelers is an excellent estate jewelry shop. The selection of charms and antique…read morerings is far more extensive than can be found anywhere else that I know of. Their inventory shows real skill in selection and many of their items are quite choice. For example, most jewelry stores, new or used, tend to have mostly mediocre low-color milky white opals with just a few nice pieces. Market Square is the reverse: most of their opals are really nice stones, both the whites and the Australians. They obviously know their stuff and weed out the tinsel. There are a lot of unique pieces like insignia rings and unusual pendants. Their online system is excellent and a great way to systematically check the inventory before coming in. The prices here are stiff, but that's what it costs to get a large selection of nice stuff all in one place. If you want cheap jewelry, go to a flea market and sift through the wreckage. Be forewarned that this is an estate jewelry shop. Jewelry services like sizing and things like that are not really their bailiwick.

The exact same spot broke the very next day. We called and were told, "No problem--bring it back in." But when I returned, the owner--without even examining it up close--claimed it was a "different area" and demanded another $35. He was rude, condescending, and completely dismissive. Given the number of similar negative reviews, this clearly isn't an isolated incident. When the owner inevitably responds with excuses or denials, please be assured: this is EXACTLY what happened. (Note: We brought it to another jeweler in the same plaza who fixed it properly--for just $15.)

I had chosen to pick through and purchase some coins in their "world silver coin" box, but I (after purchasing a large number) have disappointingly found a few coins that aren't silver at all - but copper nickel. Their pricing on this box was also very loose with the cashier taking a "rough mental average" of the purity of the coins and adding a "small" premium over spot. While I should've known better to pick only coins I'm familiar with and trusting this undisclosed "small premium", they shouldn't have had any non-silver coinage in the silver coinage bin. I'm sure it would be a headache, but separating the world coins based on purity and not a "rough average" would provide a MUCH better experience for the customer.
