Small jewelry store with new and vintage fine jewelry. This was my first visit to their kennebunkport store. They also have one in portland in the old port. I saw something in the case I liked but couldn't get anyone to wait on me. I ended up leaving. Maybe get some help on busy days. read more

BUYER BEWARE - PART 2 - Returning the ring and sending it back to a jeweler who couldn't get the job done the first time are no longer reasonable solutions to this issue. They had to send me an updated appraisal which I received yesterday and even that was still wrong. It still clearly says that the ring is platinum on top (there's NO platinum in this ring) and a note about the silver was added. The amount appraised also stayed the same which doesn't seem right given the cost gap between the two metals but I've yet to get a local appraisal. I try to be reasonable and I believe I have been but I do not want to mail my ring again. I also don't have confidence in either their staff or their outsourced jeweler. There were at least 3-4 people who laid hands on my ring at or associated with stonehome and NONE of them bothered to look and notice that 2 stones were missing before sending it back to me. Now they are accusing me of damaging the ring myself. They also didn't know the difference between platinum and silver. And the BOTTOM LINE is they did not do their due diligence when we bought the ring. They did NOT tell us that the ring had not been looked at or examined by a jeweler. They sold as though it was free of problems and all set to be an everyday ring. Their failure to educate us resulted in us making an uninformed decision to purchase. This experience has stolen from us. The story of my engagement ring is tainted now. I will never do business with these people again and I will not only not recommend them I will warn people to BUYER BEWARE! read more

Absolutely incredible. Wonderful selection, friendly & knowledgable staff, and competitive prices. They have a great selection, and the shop is full of antique 'estate' jewelry. It is an excellent place for wedding ring sets, tennis bracelets, earrings and everything else vintage you can imagine. I just purchased my soon to be fiance's engagement ring and wedding band from Stonehome. The engagement ring was from the 1940's, and I was lucky enough to find a wedding band from the 1920's that matched the engagement band in the same store! Any jewelry I purchase in the future will come from Stonehome Antiques. Be aware that I almost made a trip to Kennebunkport, and they're closed seasonally, so you should call the Portland store before you make that trip. read more

This business is amazing. I shouldn't say business I should say these people. Because they know you and remember you. Their quality is top knotch when it comes to both their merchandise and their repairs or alterations to your pieces. I have bought many things from there and haven't been dissappointed once. You will be very pleasently surprised. Just because it says Antique, doesn't mean your grandmothers pearls or broach, although they do have that too.
