I would like to preface this review, by saying that I called to speak with the jewler about our…read moreexperience, to see if he would work with us. He declined. I would also like to note, that I have no intention of slandering this business, as I'm sure other customers have had different experiences, I'm just here to lay out our experience, so other folks can make an informed decision about where to take their busienss.
Back in January 2026, my wife brought her wedding bands and engagment ring to L & L to have them fused together, and resized as her fingers are smaller than they used to be and the rings were too big. This was her birthday gift to herself (and from me) for her upcoming birthday in February.
Upon initially receiving them back, they were very clearly off center, and hastily completed. We were not off to a good start. This was a source of frustration, because she had explained what she wanted and how she wanted them fused very clearly, and it's well known that it's best NOT to mess with delicate jewelry unless you absolutely have to. Nevertheless, after a day or two of trying to decide what to do, she brought the ring(s) back, to have them separated again, and properly centered. Upon arriving, he argued with her that they weren't off center, which was alarming in itself, becuase you'd expect somebody that's doing this type of work to have a very clear eye for detail in what seemed like a very obvious situation. Despite the initial pushback, he agreed to recenter them, and that she could again retreive them in a week or so.
Fast forward 8 months, the work has not held up at all. There was a crack developing under one of the bands, and the soldering was less than quality. On top of those discoveries, the rings have never fit right, according to the measurement that he did, and the sizing he suggested for her, tothe point where if she's not careful, they just fall right off. She tried to deal with it, as she was weary to have them repaired yet again at the same location, but the discovery of the crack was the final straw. All of the work performed by L & L jewelers came to a cost of around $360 (I beleive the final bill was somewhere in the $450 range, but she had also had another much simpler ring resized at the same time which also ended up not being the correct size, and is also showing signs of poor craftsmanship, but is far less important than the wedding rings).
Having had poor experiences with her two initial encounters, and being very untrusting of the work that was already preformed, she decided to take the ring to another local reputable Jeweler, which we have worked with in the past, that we've not had issues with. Their findings confirmed our suspicions that the work was performed poorly, and that it would need to be repaired. The bill to repair L&L jewelery's work, and properly resize the rings came to another $470.
This prompted my call to L & L jewelry that I discussed at the outset of this review, where I explained my situation to him, and asked if there was any way he would consider a partial refund for the initial work, considering that it had been professionally assessed to have been poorly done, and was in need of extensive repair only 8 months from the original date.
L&L Jewelry declined to provide any kind of refund, partial or otherwise, and suggested that my only recourse was to bring the ring BACK to him. He repeatedly told me that he stands behind his work for 2 years (a fact that was not made clear to us until I made this phone call), and that I should have brought it back to him first. As you can imagine, we did not have much confindence in his quality of work, or his customer service, which is why we opted to take it somehwere else in the first place.
All in all, this has been one of the worst jewelry, and customer service related experiences we've ever had, and I do not recommend utilizing this Company's services.
