It's a rainy Monday (today) and I stumbled across the Arundel Antique Center (walked out literally 3 minutes ago) and fell in love with the place immediately. This place is pretty massive with two full floors completely covered with every type of antique you could possibly think of. Toys, sports cards, art, statutes, taxidermy, and legit everything else. As soon as I walked in I found a seller with signed sports cards so you know I had to walk away with Warren Moon, Shaquille O'Neal, and Charles Barkley. I probably spend a good 45 minutes wandering around and looking for stuff, sadly I live in LA so I have to be extra picky with what I pick up while traveling, but I certainly left very happy with the things I picked up. Overall, Arundel Antiques is a special kind of place. The employees who were working were all super friendly and easy to joke around with. The selection here was really diverse, the place looked cool, and whenever I can find four things, well, I'm gonna be a returning customer when I return in the next few years. read more

After visiting Antiques USA, we go across the street to Arundel Antiques. I like that they have both tables with displayed items downstairs and then glass cases upstairs. Most of the vendors are glassware, dishes, vases, houseware type things. My favorite! Each table is well curated and prices are typically reasonable. I've bought a hobnail butter dish in the past. On my last visit, I found some beautiful dessert dishes and was able to negotiate a better price. read more

Lot of booths and don't forget to look under the tables. We have found quite a few nice things under the tables. There is an upstairs with more venders. So the next favorite antique store of my husband is Arundel Antique. Housed in a smaller store than the one across the street, it is able to fit a lot of stuff! A story: cleaning out our basement a few years ago I found a box of ceramic Christmas decor from the late 50's/early 60's which my mother had collected and which I subsequently kept and use during the holidays. Included was one mug from W. Germany marked as Waechterbach. Pretty red with Christmas Trees both. So here I am wandering around Arundel Antiques and spy a display of the red ceramic mugs. Large antique store, so many many items. Looked for table and did get a rather primitive table. It is happily sitting in the kitchen area. They helped get it into my truck. If I was not focused on the table would have spent more time shopping as there are thousands of items, and there was also a little outdoor vendor shopping available as well, I believe was on a Sat. so the outdoor activities are not there all the time. Lots of great things but the ladies that work here are horribly rude. I was purchasing 10 records and some brooches. It was five minutes to closing. There were 3 women checking me out who said they would check the records to make sure they were in the right covers for me. Smiling and very excited about my finds, I said "oh thank you so much. Will you also take a quick glance and look for bad scratches as you do please, I was going to, but since y'all were closing I didn't want to keep y'all. But if you're pulling them out anyway..." One of them interrupted me and rudely said, "that's not my job" and the other woman just as hatefully said "no, that's not our job we're just making sure it's the right ones in the right covers". I politely put the one I was checking down and told them they can keep the $200 worth of goods I was about to purchase along with their attitudes. To the people who have booths there...good luck selling your items with these hateful women working there. I won't be back! read more

Love this shop! I go there 4 or 5 times a year and have always found a treasure! The staff is pleasant and very helpful. Once a friend of mine saw something he thought would be something I'd been looking for and sent me a picture. I couldn't get up there for a few days, but a quick call to the shop and someone actually went to the second floor, found it, sent me another picture, and then pulled it, and held it for me until I could get up there!!! I'm not a shopper, and I don't like to collect small items to store in my house-but I like to see old things. My parents love antiquing, they come here frequently and about once a year I'll come with them. The store is very clean, including the bathroom. On this particular visit we had just left a Father's Day breakfast down the street and I was doing the pee-pee dance From far too much coffee. I was pleasantly surprised at the state of the bathroom. We wandered up and down the isles, touching all of the things, some familiar some bazaar, most reasonably priced. I picked up a 32 ounce Pyrex cold beverage container with beautiful lemons printed on the side in perfect condition for five dollars. A steal! The highlight of this trip was the functioning phone booth. My eight-year-old niece had never seen a phone booth, let Aron a rotary dial which actually function. I saw the sign for complementary local calls and quickly got to work teaching her how to dial her father's phone number. She was absolutely delighted with using it. So strange that something so familiar is completely foreign to someone alive in the same time as yourself. The staff are friendly, eager to help and readily available. I'll be back with my parents, but next time I wear comfy shoes because it's a long stroll. read more

Hands down one of the best if not the best antique store I've been to in my entire life. There is such a large selection, it's so nicely organized and most of the prices are super reasonable. Stopped in here to browse while passing through. Firstly, it's mostly just old cans, dishes, glass bottles, and knickknacks like that. Which is fine if that's what you're looking for, but I wouldn't call it antiques. What really bothered me was a full display case of Nazi paraphernalia very prominently displayed. I realized these are technically antiques, but I am really uncertain if I want to support a business who is happy to sell to people who collect Swastika flags. read more

My husband and I stopped in this morning as we drove by and saw the market going outside. I got a few silver pieces outside from a vendor (very inexpensive for what they are!!) and inside found 3 items to purchase at astonishingly low prices. I bought 3 hand made porcelain flower baskets, all authentic from England and fine bone china so I know they are worth much more, and I spent $42 for all 3. I am from Southern California and we just purchased a home nearby and I don't usually buy them at home because they are always so expensive. Everything is good quality too. My husband and I make it a point to visit this shop at least once a week. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They're always helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. This is an extremely large shop with over a hundred vendors so it takes a while to shop through but it's well worth your time. I go to a lot of antique stores. I've been going to antique stores for probably 25 years. This seemed like a pretty run of the mill place with some cool stuff and decent prices. Then I went upstairs and saw some nazi helmets in one of the tall glass cases. Ok, disturbing. Trying not to get too unhinged by this I looked around more until I came to a display case by the upstairs checkout that was literally filled with nazi memorabilia. Never seen that before... Maybe one could argue that there is some historical significance to this collection, maybe one could argue that this is America and you can sell whatever you want. I would argue that to profit off of nazi memorabilia is despicable at best, and the owners of this shop either don't care or actively support the idea of making money from selling nazi propaganda, photos, etc. Though the fact that these pieces are being sold for many hundreds of dollars leads one to believe that they don't actually want to sell them and really just want nazi things on display for "some" reason. I really should have said something to whoever was working there, and I almost did, but I was honestly afraid I'd completely lose my s%*t and didn't want to do something I'd be unable to take back. To the owners of this store, you should be ashamed of yourselves for letting someone proudly display this collection that would be better buried in a landfill somewhere. read more

Arundel Antiques calls themselves a Multi-Dealer shop and they're right. There are seemingly endless little booths with all kinds of stuff for sale. There's a lot of "knick knack" stuff to wade through and not much furniture or really old stuff. This is an ideal spot for tourists that are in Maine for a week or two and are looking for something to do on a rainy day. read more

The worst experience ever! The clerk was loud and obnoxious. I asked for a price on an unmarked item. She flatly stated that she couldn't sell it. I asked her to call the dealer, she snidely refused to. I asked her to check to see if I'd missed the price in the booth. She refused to move from behind the counter. If she's that unhappy working there, she should find another job. If I was a dealer at this mall, I'd make sure she was. We ended up walking out. I love a good antique store...This isn't one of them. The items inside were more akin to a flea market than an antique store. I was impressed with their selection of vintage woodworking tools, but the price was definitely inflated. As others have mentioned the staff inside left a lot to be desired; while they weren't overtly rude, they didn't greet any of the customers and one was talking about a super long nose hair that she just pulled out. The only saving grace of this place is the outside area that is more of a flea market. Definitely your smattering of junk mixed with some pretty nice items at reasonable prices. I was able to find some nice tools and my wife had quite a few booths of vintage jewelry to pick through. If driving by and you see outside vendors stop on by, otherwise keep driving. read more

This place has two floors and takes a while to go through, has a bit more of a flea market feel but I like that. Prices were all over the place but that makes sense seeing as there are different vendors pricing their own items here. I got a ridiculously good price on some vintage purses and my gf was able to feed her vintage ashtray collecting habit with a plethora of choices. I didn't have any issues with the staff but then I didn't need them to do anything but ring me up so I can't speak to things other people have said here read more

If you choose to shop this flea market, ALWAYS ask for a receipt of purchase. Be prepared to find many stalls set-up but unattended. They aren't required to be there and could care less about selling. Don't touch anything, they will hunt you down. The verbal abuse I received on a recent visit was frightening. After shopping this antique mall and flea market for fifteen years, I won't visit again. read more

A LOT of inventory so you have to take some time to look through it all. I am a novice dealer and the items that I was interested in seemed overpriced and the staff informed me that all prices are firm and non-negotiable which I have honestly never heard in an antiques store. So if you aren't worried about spending money or burning time this place is for you but otherwise there are plenty of other antiques dealers I would stop at before this one. Happy hunting! read more

Every Christmas we spend at least one day here. We won't be back. We bought a Beatles 45 rpm for $14 (item #GR457). Upon taking it out of the plastic sleeve, the record was broken and useless. When we complained, they told us the dealer (#202) SHOULD have labeled the record "as is" or detailed the damage. Neither was done. We did not want the money back, but we do want people know how very very unprofessional this was . . . and how customers will be lost. read more

Four stars for size which not every shop has. I'm into vintage clothing from the 50s and 60s and I managed to find a cute bolero sweater and a gingham button down shirt. There were some cute dresses upstairs and I spotted an old Kay Windsor day dress upstairs. Other than that I didn't see much else I was interested in. But keep in mind antique shops often change so if I lived in the area I would keep checking it out once in a while. There were lots of knick knack items and medium sized items, I didn't see lots of large items like furniture. read more

Have been in this store several times and spent a fair amount of money there. Have been unimpressed with the salespeople on the first floor and their lack of boundaries - talking very loudly about their personal lives. There is a gentleman working on the second floor who is flat out rude. I avoid asking to look at things because he acts like he's doing me a favor. My husband recently purchased an expensive costume jewelry necklace for me as a gift but after opening it I realized there was no clasp on the necklace and it was way too small to fit over any adult's head. Looks like the dealer added another chain. When I called to complain the supervisor was rude and flatly stated that they didn't get involved once the vendor had been paid. She said she would have the vendor call, which he never did. I was willing to work with the vendor - perhaps he could have given me another chain or a discount so I could purchase a chain but, of course, no call. So as it is right now we spent $125 on something that was advertised as a necklace but that is not a necklace and is useless as is. Will probably skip this location in the future and stick to the store down the street. read more
