Worker welcomed us in and thanked us when leaving so friendly staff. We did not end up buying anything this visit but enjoyed our time browsing. They have many different sellers with areas inside. They also have a large variety of items so everyone who stops in will appreciate some of the items. Prices seemed decent with some stuff not seeming to be worth it, but that's my opinion of not being interested in some items. They had old toys, furniture, home decor, glassware, kitchen stuff, and so much more. I also overheard the staff telling a handful of people they get new stuff everyday so every visit will lead to new finds. Also overheard that it sounds like they may only accept cash as someone asked to leave their stuff so they could go grab cash. So that is important to keep in mind. Lastly, they also had a banner on the store mentioning they won silver award for antiques in the Best of 207 awards. So personally I think it's worth a visit even if you don't want to buy and just browse.

I have also dropped off donation items here, and the drop off process is very easy and the folks receiving the items are very sweet (and even complementary!) about everything I brought. I highly recommend this store, plus it's icing on the cake that all of the proceeds go to caring for the animals. It doesn't get any better than that if you ask me. :)

Each shop has their own unique antiques and I would even say some oddities to browse and potentially purchase. We visited all except for one that appeared to not be open currently. We did not buy anything from any of them. Every store did have something that was worth pointing out to my wife or her pointing out to me. Often we would look at the price tag and that would change our tune. I understand especially older items can be very valuable especially larger ones we spotted, but I feel a lot of other antique shops I have visited you'll find some reasonable prices. Not really the case for any of the shops here honestly! None of the owners were unfriendly but a few did seem to lack much of a warm welcoming despite being slower business wise. But similar to my review for one specific shop in this set of 9 (Breakaway Design & Antiques) the prices is the real reason for the four stars instead of five. You may find something worth buying that catches your eye but you'll pay top dollar and maybe even more than its value. I appreciate the antique stores that you may find a good deal at more than ones like this.

Also the staff when we walked in greeted us which was not the case for all the spots we visited. That added touch makes you feel more welcome. If you really went slow you could spend a long while looking at everything they have to offer here. If you are going down or up route 1 especially antique shopping this is a must visit. We went back specifically to see Joanne on our last trip, and she was zany as ever. Yes, she's an absolute *character*, but I do think she means well. She's just the kind of lady who likes things in a particular way -- we also touched things we apparently weren't supposed to! But she has some fantastic stories for some of her permanent pieces, and that alone is worth the stop. (Be sure to ask about the vintage Disney figurines she has, because the story is incredible!) Her life stories are incredible! Over the years I've purchased many coveted treasures here, some antiques, some not.. and that's okay, she has a vast variety of merchandise between her locations, she has something for everyone. I especially like her no cell phones in the store policy.. after all who wants to hear ringing phones and other peoples conversations while shopping.. I don't and I'm sure she doesn't either. As far as "hating kids" as stated in the other reviews... probably not the case... maybe she just doesn't want them handling and fouling up her merchandise. Thanks for offering such amazing finds at such affordable prices, Joanne! I'll be in for a visit soon!
