What are you supposed to do when you are in a place called Antique Ally? Well, you hit up some fang antique stores. I was visiting my parents who live in New Hampshire and getting some food in Maine so of course we had to make some pit stops. This antique center is pretty massive and features three big rooms full of stuff. Sadly, we were in a bit of a hurry but I was still able to speed run through all of the aisles and see everything. Vintage clothing, glass ware, books, war memorabilia, vintage toys, sports cards, and literally everything else. I was a huge fan of the glass cases and was stoked to check everything out. I almost left with an in box Pee Wee Herman doll but since I live in LA, I didn't feel like dealing with the shipping on it. Overall, Antiques USA is a fantastic antique shop and 100% somewhere you need to check out in the area. I had a blast checking out all the rooms and the next time I find myself in Maine, I'm for sure doing an antique tour and hitting this place up again. read more

My favorite antique shop in Arundel! Another massive antique shop that's half glass cases and half booths. I feel like this store is a great combo of well curated collections at fair prices. If you hate a crowded and disorganized antique shop, this spot is for you! It's so convenient to actually be able to see everything neatly lining the shelves. Every case is a different vendor. I found some very cool vintage dessert plates from Japan. A must visit for antique shop enthusiasts in the Kennebunkport area! read more

Large antique shop with plenty of venders. Don't really care for all the glass cabinets in the front as if you want to look at something you need to get the cabinet unlocked. Noticed one lady looking at a cabinet that was opened by the staff. First thing he tells her is DO NOT put your hands into the cabinet, tell him what you want to see and he will grab it. Thought that was unprofessionally done and just gave me a bass sense of shopping in the cabinets. In all three years coming here, I have only had them open one glass case and I purchased the item I was looking at. But I generally just avoid it and walk around all the other open shelves and booths. The vibe in this store is similar to other antique stores - one of walking thru a warehouse or garage. Just seems dirtier overall. But I guess the best finds are in areas such as this. We have purchased various items here so I don't want to give the wrong impression of the store. One of my husbands fave antiques store in Arundel. Huge store. Has everything you could imagine. Hubs is into flags and Americana; I usually am not interested but occasionally I'll spy a household item tha I could use. This I bought a Corningware 1 quart casserole with a cover to replace one I broke (or my daughter "borrowed"). Great condition and matches items I already have. Saw other glassware that was interesting but we've already downsized a lot of stuff, so we limit ourselves to things that we can use. read more

Like a serial killer who collects trinkets from his victims, this place was Xanadu. It was recommended to us by the nice lady working the Palace Diner a jaunt away in Biddeford. There were so many things there that I could definitely see filling up an old Victorian house with. Antique stores really trick you because they have *all the stuff* in a smorgasbordal spectacle. I was especially intrigued by some of the old mechanical machines (typewriters, cameras, et al) but the tags were listed as "working???" probably meaning no, and thus very overpriced for a shelf ornament. My friend and I agreed that certain items were very well priced, and other items were very overpriced. But there is so much to look at, even if you walk away empty-handed, it's still an enjoyable activity. I'll come back and buy out the store after I win the lottery and buy my dream mansion. read more

I love a thrift store, but rarely have had the opportunity to spend much time in antiques stores. This place is epic! Never have I seen so many well-curated items in such an expansive place. We found so many treasures, most notable of which was a giant bin of costume jewelry priced at 3/$15. There were rotary phones, spectacles from the 1800's, VHS tapes, and so many creepy dolls. It's hard to describe how many unique artifacts were in this place. I could easily go back and spend another 2 hours. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful too. read more

Service was non existent. Selection is classified as overpriced junk. The place is HUGE and I had really high hopes for it but I found the atmosphere miserable and a super shopper like myself could find nothing worth buying. I wish these vendors would prefer moving inventory rather than hoping to get something over a naive buyer with outrageous prices. read more

I figured the antiques store down the street from the biker bar would be less touristy and more filled with interesting stuff, and Antiques USA did not disappoint on this level. It is an enormous multi-dealer space and airy enough to be a reasonably comfortable browse in these troubled times. The dealers carry a lot of stuff that is "vintage things a person might collect and use" rather than Fine Antiques, so that's a win, too. There is old furniture toward the back. However, multiple dealers are selling art pottery and art glass fakes as the real thing. So if you're browsing here, you need to either know your stuff or feel you're getting a good deal on something pretty without being overly concerned with authenticity. Antiques USA is a multi-dealer store with endless booth and glass cases. It gets a little less attractive as you work your way toward the back of the store, but that's where the good stuff is if you're hunting for a good deal. According to their web site, Antiques USA has a big sale in the winter and I look forward to checking that out. Interesting place.....mostly junk...as is all Maine.....usually a nice time. My girlfriend was looking for help and they simply did not have the staff......and when she was able to see something.....rude and not helpful. Huge store with great selection from what seems like a hundred different vendors. Can be cold in winter and hot in summer, but it's one of my favorite stops on route 1 in Maine. Great place to check out no matter what you're looking for. This is one of the few shops in the immediate area with a good quantity of furniture and most of it is quite reasonably priced. The vast majority of items in this shop are vintage or antique, which is no small feat for a group shop, particularly such a large one. In addition to furniture, this shop has jewelery, glassware, vintage prints and advertising and kitchen items, just to name a few things. I've gotten some beautiful, unique antique ads here that I've framed and I also just bought a lovely empire sofa that I'm very happy with. read more
