And I can say that if your doctor sends you here, you'll be well cared for and looked after by a team of people who are wonderful at their job. I'm the kind of person who needs to understand things. It helps me remain dedicated to the task. So when I say how much I've enjoyed working with these folks on improving my health, that is a big part of it. They don't just sit you up on a table with a manual and tell you to do the stretches, the explain why. Explain which muscle group the set will focus on building. Why we are trying to build strength here, what benefits will come from this workout, and on and on down the line. It's great, and I always leave feeling like I've been helped. My primary PT here is named Breeanna. I feel very fortunate to have her helping me. She is professional, she answers all my questions, and I can just tell that she is dedicated to helping others, which I'd say is as noble a goal as anyone could ever hope for. The rest of the team is also wonderful. At one point or another, I think I've spoken with every person who works here and they are all very helpful. I feel like my time at ATI is going to end with me being far better off than when I began. And this isn't my first round of PT. Places in the past had left a much less favorable opinion in my mind, so it's very nice to work with people who are so eager to help others in need. Megan called several days before and was open to talking thru a complex story to better understand my moms needs and how to make sure she would be safe at rehab. She coordinated with me, the hospital and the rehab daily to make sure all went well. The floor staff have been excellent and really seem sweet with my mom. They are staffed better than I expected (staff to patient ratio) and when I have shown up unexpectedly to see my mom she is always up, dressed, fed and her bed and room are kept decent. We have had to help here and there when with her but that's more us just wanting to help out caring for our mom vs any gaps in care (IE things like help feed her, straighten her room, move out food trays, etc). The patients/family are encouraged to pick each meal for the week and the options have been varied, and my mom has actually really enjoyed them which was great because she was not eating at the hospital. She reports to me that she has done well at therapy although, of course she doesn't love it :) but all in all I'm really impressed with the way that she was taken care of at this facility. We had a short stay at a different rehab prior to this one and the comparison is night and day!

They have a consultant who supposedly comes in and reviews the files every other week, but does not work directly with the children. The people that work there have the qualifications of a high school babysitter and that's it. The owner's daughter is one of the therapists and she has no credentialing or right to do the ABA therapy that you're paying good money for. YOUR CHILD DESERVES BETTER!! DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY THIS PLACE!! In addition, they practice "aversion therapy" in which they will man-handle your child if they don't listen and become disruptive...to the point of sending them home with abrasians all over their bodies from throwing them to the ground and holding them there while they struggle to get free from these abusers. When you confront them about it, the owner, Susan Wood will then turn around and call CPS and report that you're abusing your child. This place has got to be put out of business and there needs to be state regulations passed that prohibit these types of businesses from operating without licensed therapists on staff and in charge.
