After a couple of mediocre months at a very corporate daycare, finally a spot became available for our then 18 month old at Uno Dos Tres, and the experience has been consistently and exceptionally high. From Tanara (the Director's) professionalism, to the energy and enthusiasm of all the teachers, our daughter has adored every day at Uno Dos Tres. A very safe, caring environment, where I only ever see smiles from the kids and teachers alike. Unfortunately we are now relocating out of state, and the biggest challenge for us will be trying to find a daycare anywhere near as perfect as Uno Dos Tres...

My daughter is entering 3rd grade and has been there since kindergarten and my son will be starting kindergarten this fall. My daughter has been counting down the days for summer to be over and school to "finally" start up again. I really like that during the school year, the kids are not bogged down with unnecessary piles of meaningless homework. Kids are encouraged to be kids. It's exactly the learning environment every child should have.

We came to Green House after a negative siutation with another daycare and were immediate accepted and felt supprted at Green House. We love the curriculum, the field trips, learning opportunities, such as swimming and Spanish, that I don't think we would get anywhere else, especially for the reasonable cost that Green House offers in comparison to other daycares. Communication is great and we have always felt kept up to date on what our kids are eating, any behavioral concerns, and about the fun they had. Mr. Raj and the entire teaching team give so much love and care and you can tell that kids feel safe there while learning vital social skills. We are constantly amazed at the skills our children have learned at Green House Montessori School and am forever grateful to the entire team!

It was extremely disappointing being locked out of our safe place and being forced to brave the cold winds of winter. I will never look the same at the staff and building. Our twins went here for almost 2 years before we moved out to CA. We loved it and so did the kids!…read moreWe started there when kids were just about 18 months and Ms Andrea helped them ease in a new setting, as they had never attended a daycare before. Kids learned to make friends and be social. Later they graduated to Ms Lily's class where they learned to be more independent and take care of themselves. I was amazed at the tricks they learned in school about putting on their own clothes and shoes and hanging them on hangers after coming home. All the other teachers are also very loving and caring. Ms. Mary was my son's favorite! Moreover the owner Mr. Raj is very helpful and accommodating. Once we forgot to hand over their lunch bags and he ordered some food for them without even a second thought and did not even charge us for it. The school field trips are a great learning and exposure opportunities for kids, sure we paid a little extra for them but they were worth it. My kids still remember their apple orchard field trip from Fall 2018. I realize how nice they were when their current daycare here in bay area does not offer them. They also took kids on a walk almost daily (weather permitting) which was good as kids get to have fresh air rather than being in the same room whole day. Kids also played outside on warmer days' evenings. Additionally they offered swim lessons in summer if you are interested. Overall it was an all-round development for my twins and I wish we could be there for the rest of the time till they start kindergarten.

The teacher Mrs. Mahatzke, is caring, knowledgeable and committed to creating a welcoming, diverse, inclusive classroom setting. Our children are loving all the activities that happen at Saline Co-op (monthly field trips, donating to local charities, music & dancing, art and plenty of outdoor play) and they adore their teacher. Mrs. Mahatzke adapts her pedagogical approach to fit the needs of the children in the class and is wonderful at teaching them to become more independent and ready for the next steps in their education. The cooperative aspect means that the parents run the school. The only paid staff are the teachers. Parents definitely have more responsibility than in your standard preschool, but it also means that there's a real sense of community with the families and a sense of ownership because you're the one making the decisions about how things run. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I am amazed by how much he has learned and grown in this past year, and I believe SCOOP has helped foster this. At first, we were a little hesitant about being assist parents, but as the school year is coming to an end, we look back and see how much of a value it has been to not only spend that time with our child, but also to actively participate in growing a community with him. Looking forward to another year with SCOOP!
