Adj: Marvelous Mall, Superb Shopping…read more Westfield Galleria at Roseville is my favorite shopping mall in the greater Sacramento area. There aren't that many malls in our metro, so we don't have many choices, shopping plazas yes, but malls, no. I grew up going to malls a lot for fun (window and for reals) shopping, for hanging out with my cousins and friends, and I have lots of great memories from all the fun I had at different malls, mostly Arden Fair and Florin Mall, but sadly there's not a lot of malls left. Westfield Galleria at Roseville is by far the nicest in our region so I enjoy coming here. The mall itself is huge, it spans a couple of blocks. No matter which end of the mall you start at, you'll make your way through. The parking can be quite challenging on a weekend, but if you're willing to park up higher in the parking structure or out in the sun, you'll find parking more easily. There's also EV charging for a fee for those w/electric vehicles. There's something for everyone here, from the large dept stores like Macy's and Nordstrom that anchor the mall, to the food court with all the delicious mall foods, snacks, and drinks, to clothing stores, home goods stores, sporting goods, to Daiso, there are so many choices and so many interesting things to look at and try. There are even luggage stores and seasonal (holidays) stores. For those who don't care to acquire more stuff, you can have some pretty fun experiences here as there's the movie theatres and arcades so it's something else you can do rather than just shop and eat. My kids enjoy all the toy stores and when they were little, they loved playing on the Kaiser sponsored kids indoor play structure, which is a great place for some rest for parents and for kids to burn off some energy and get out their wiggles if they're getting restless (or uninterested) in the shopping experience. Overall, Westfield Galleria at Roseville remains a clean, spacious, and well-maintained shopping mall and I hope it stays that way and continues to see new additions to offer different stores and more facilities improvements and updates.

Disabled customers are clearly not welcome at the Westfield Galleria or the Fountains…read more Based on current statistics, approximately 40-45% of Americans live with some form of disability. Yet only a small percentage are wheelchair users, meaning millions of people live with "invisible disabilities" that are routinely ignored by developers, property owners, and even code enforcement agencies that continue approving projects without meaningful accessibility. At these shopping centers, there appear to be more EV charging spaces than accessible parking spaces. During repeated visits, I often found only a couple of handicap spaces near major entrances, forcing disabled shoppers to circle parking lots or park long distances away. I have also encountered extremely heavy, non-ADA-compliant doors that are difficult and painful to open. When concerns are raised, the response from some businesses is simply to "enter through the mall," which requires disabled individuals to walk even farther just to access a store. That is not equal access. For the many shoppers living with disabilities -- including those with mobility limitations, neurological conditions, chronic pain, balance disorders, and other invisible disabilities -- the experience here often feels exclusionary rather than welcoming. Accessibility should not be treated as an afterthought or an inconvenience

We live in the Sacramento area and according to the GPS it would take us around 40 minutes to get there and it was pretty accurate. We hit some traffic, but it never came to a complete stop. The GPS took us the round about way and we entered in near Pet Food Express. We totally missed the mall entrance and thus avoided the crowds. On the other hand we weren't sure if we were going the right way as it was a different way then we've ever taken. So good for the GPS getting us there. Parking is a little tricky if you don't know the area. We pulled into the lot and the directions said it was in-front of us so we parked without having an eye on the restaurant. It parked near a pretty easy landmark, Pet Food Express so we were able to find our car leaving. We're thankful they have maps of the complex as we were able to look up Zocalo on the map and get our bearings. I didn't see spots right out front of some of the businesses. So, I'm a little confused as to how those with disabilities get around. It was a long walk if you had a walker or cane to get from our parking spot to Zocalo. Parking in general can be tricky as there are so many people concentrated in such a small area and parking is limited. We thankfully found a spot, but it was a bit of a walk. Since we were there early we decided to do a little shopping. The first store we spotted and were standing in-front of was a shoe store, Sole Desire, so we went in to browse at all the nice, comfortable, and over priced shoes. The store was known for comfort and had all women's shoes that we could see, they didn't appear to have men's shoes. They had some nice shoes on sale, but they were still really pricy, all around the $100 mark. I did find 2 pairs that looked like the ones I have at home, but different colors. They are nice, but you can feel every pebble you walk over so in the end they really aren't hat comfortable. I found another pair that I liked and that were summery, but for the price I really didn't need just another pair of shoes. I was in the need of sandal so I perused the sandal selection. I haven't had cute sandals in years. I have functional water type shoes, The heaven duty type Teva and Keens, both great for hiking and water activities, but definitely not cute or sexy sandals. Now a days I need comfortable shoes for my old feet so it's hard to find something that will work for me. I picked up a pair of BIza sandals. I'm really hoping and crossing all my fingers and toes that they will be comfortable not just sitting around, but also walking. And that is the type of stores they have in the Fountains. After dinner we hoped to do a little more shopping, but everything was closed. We were so disappointment as it was still early in our minds as the sun was still out. The stores could have stayed open another hour or so. The ice cream shop was still open as we saw a lot of people with ice cream. My husband liked the vibe. It was a happy, yet not snobby crowd. The fountains were a nice touch. Something fun to watch and gather around. The music they piped in was soothing. They had corn hole at one of the fake grass patches near Pet Food Express. It looks like a real gathering spot for the active kids. There were too many kids around so I wasn't able to take any pictures of the kids area. They have a cute little train that goes around. $3.00 per person (cash only), with children under two riding free when accompanied by a paying adult. That's going to be a hard sell for lots of people because most of us don't carry cash with us.

The gratuitous handicap parking spaces are very few and much farther between. There are entire parking lot in the back of the "Fountains" with ZERO handicap spaces. According to a manager at XFINITY, when I commented on the difficulty of finding handicap parking, reported that many of complained about that very problem and they have reported it too the management of Fountains at Roseville. According to some at XFINITY, the owner/management of the Fountains stated that they don't "WANT" to provide handicap parking for the disabled. The other issue that is problematic are the stores that bear handicap stickers of wheelchairs on their windows yet provide no way for people in wheelchairs and other mobility disabilities access the store. I've recently moved to the area from Washington, DC. I am stoned and outraged at this year negligence and non-compliance of the Americans with Disabilities Act in heart of California!

With West Roseville community growing at a very rapid speed and with all the new homes being built we are overdue! Since our move to Roseville in 2001 we've had to drive 1.5 miles to the closest grocery store and 2.3 miles for the nearest gas station. This shopping center in the West Roseville Marketplace has a Safeway with both a grocery store and a gas station and is less than 0.5 miles away so suh-weet! but I'm still waiting for the donut shop to open. The only issue I have is getting out of the parking lot. Too many cars coming from Pleasant Grove if exiting out from McDonald's (right turn only) especially during busy commute times. Fiddyment Road and Pleasant Grove Blvd have became racetracks. Roseville is just too congested but it's nice to have these businesses nearby. Review #3973

Other businesses currently operating at the time of this review are McDonald's, Bank of America, Mountain Mike's Pizza, & Lavish Nails. An EV Connect Charging Station is also located here. The other 3 business that are slated to open are Pho Madame, Donuts & Coffey, & Postal Annex. Parking is usually pretty full when I shop here, but I can always find a spot. Exiting onto Pleasant Grove Blvd to get into the left turn lanes to Fiddyment Rd can be tricky & requires luck or patience to get an opening. Best to exit by the McDonald's to have more space.

Are all Costco's created equally?!…read more I have no idea, but I am constantly exploring new ones when I find them, and this Costco location in Loomis, California is my latest discovery. They've been open for almost a year, and it's taken me literally this long to check it out. This one just feels different and quite frankly I don't know that I can put my finger on it. Maybe it's the way the entrance and exit doors are situated, maybe it's the displays, maybe it's that still fresh feeling... I don't know but I can tell you I like it! This warehouse is incredibly well stocked, and I was able to find items here that I literally cannot and have not ever found or seen in the other warehouses that I shop at. The meat department is glorious! So many different cuts of meat, fish, poultry, I even found ground chicken packaged by Mary's. Mary's is more local to California and has a great reputation for quality poultry. The produce section was a little low, but it's also that time of year when California just doesn't have a lot of produce. Spring is just around the corner... As I perused up and down different aisles, putting more in my grocery cart than I had originally bargained for, it was almost like a treasure hunt, and I've loved every moment of it! If you live in the Sacramento area, where you happen to be driving through or near Roseville, which is just adjacent, shopping here is a great experience. Parking was easy! Yes, you read that correctly. Parking was not a problem. Finding a shopping cart was not a problem. The checkout lines, definitely were not a problem. The cashier was super sweet on top of it. Great shopping experience and definitely worth making this my go to in the area!
