They also sell used tires, which can save you hundreds. I got a flat tire while driving my whole family and rolled in to Pacheco to get it fixed. And guess what? They fixed my flat while my whole family was still in the car, they even changed the TV channel in the shop so my little girl can watch cartoons while waiting. You treat me right, and I'll be loyal to your business for life. Pacheco treated me right, so I go to them with all my tire and flat tire needs. Thanks guys.

I want to be completely transparent about my experience…read more I got a bad tear in my tire after hitting a metal pipe on Archer Avenue. The tire wouldn't hold air, and Pacheco's was nearby, so I stopped in. I was told the tire couldn't be repaired, which I understood. They said they had one tire in my size, used, for $80. Given the situation, I felt pressured but went ahead with it. To be fair, the tire was a Continental and appeared to be in very good condition--solid tread, no visible issues. I was even told that this tire was "gold," hard to come by, and that I had lucked out. Three days later, I decided to replace all four tires at another shop. Since Pacheco's had spoken so highly of the tire they sold me, I figured I'd sell it back. When I returned, I was told to speak with the owner. That's where things took a turn. The owner looked at the tire and said he would give me $5, claiming it wasn't perfect and that they have plenty of these in stock. That directly contradicted everything I was told just days earlier. When I questioned it, the response was essentially "$5 or nothing." So which is it? A rare, valuable tire--or one worth five bucks? I walked away disappointed and honestly disgusted by the dishonesty. I kept the tire as a spare since it's apparently "not perfect." This kind of inconsistency and misrepresentation is not good business practice, especially when someone is already dealing with an emergency. I hope others pay close attention. Don't take advantage of customers in vulnerable situations, and don't say one thing only to completely reverse it later. Trust matters.

These guys are amazing!!! During crazy rain storm a few…read moredays ago, my car was stranded in Cicero at Morton College... nowhere to walk to, no one who knew how to change a tire.. (atleast they were pursuing education in other arenas like myself lol) Called these guys up, they came within an hour, and put on a spare for $40.. not bad considering it was a terrible rain storm (I honestly would have pulled over if I was driving it was so bad, and I'm not afraid of any weather, born and raised in Chicago's fabulously extreme weather :) I have never found a place that will COME TO YOU!!, let alone in a rainstorm, to fix the tire!.. brought used tires incase, all the tools, etc., and was there within the hour (may have been earlier, but that just happened to be when my class was ending, so I told him around 4 that I'd be free at 5- he was there at 5!) He finished in less than 5 min.. and asked if I wanted to come to the shop to have my tire fixed, replaced, or if I wanted to pay and be on my way.. no pressure.. I am super busy and know I would probably end up forgetting my spare was on there during my long commute one day and it would give out, so I said I'd follow him to shop to check out problem.. - I get to shop, a car was pulling out so I got helped right away.. he looked at my tire and told me huge bolt was in it.. not suprised cuz I take I-55 everyday to and from school, and with all the construction and semi-trucks on there, I see at least 1 car on side of road with busted tire every day from crap all over expressway.. -Then told me that they could fix my tire for $15, but that it would be no guarentee because the hole was so big... but it was my call.. -Again, thinking of the liklihood of me wanting to deal with that in the future, opted for a used tire.. normally $70 for my car, but said he'd give it to me for $60 for an even $100 for everything.. Oh- and here was the cherry on top: 7 months ago I was at Lucas Auto Care for an oil, lube, filter change, tire rotation and 35 pt. inspection-- they told me I needed 2 new tires in the front,,, and proceeded to put them on the back for rotation- which is a bad idea cuz you want more worn tires to stay in front, expecially in bad weather conditions such as chicago..,, said they were "dangerous" and only had 3-4 months of life left in them max, but that I should probably just purchase some of their tires now (at the time; july of 2012.) It is now 7 months later and G&S TIRE REPAIR TOLD ME THAT THOSE 2 "BAD" TIRES WERE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE!!! IMAGINE- A TIRE PLACE, THAT ONLY MAKES MONEY ON TIRES, BEING COMPLETELY HONEST WITH A NIAVE FEMALE DESPITE WHAT ANOTHER AUTO PLACE SAID!!!!! G&S won me over.. and honestly even though I live in lincoln park, even after finishing school up at Morton I will go out of my way to go to G&S to get my tires fixed, replaced, etc... AWESOME!!! A+++!!

I pulled in, the gentleman looked at the hole in my tire and said I needed a new one.
