    Deluxe Pan

Found on Yelp while in the area for work. Glad I did. Really good pizzeria. We got the BBQ chicken and the deluxe. Both Pan. Really good flavor and crunch. They add parm to the underside for a little extra crunch and flavor. Friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Amazing pizza and super friendly owners! Old world crust is a must! Pizza fries or party bread are a great value add on as well!

When we first walked up, it was clearly a dive and we were wondering if we would feel unwelcome because we are not locals. Absolutely not the case! Steve got us drinks and Kevin, the owner, chatted us up and made us feel like regulars. His mom was there watching a soap opera with some friends and she shared some delicious homemade cake with us. Kevin dropped $5 in the juke box for us to listen to some songs and made us The Best Pizza! Cheeseburger with extra pickles. There is a reason it has won awards! We are the whole thing! The bar area has a fantastic lakefront view but the outside is awesome too. There is a stage area for a band and plenty of outdoor seating if you want to keep your distance from others but still enjoy getting out and about. When COVID-19 goes away, this would be a perfect place to get back to normal!

This place is a glorified dumping yard- should've left right when I saw the camping chairs in the backyard and all 50 ashtrays. The locals all gave us dirty looks upon arriving, aliens as we were, including the bartender (who also unfortunately made our pizzas too). Speaking of pizzas, I mean y'all... seriously??? Good pizza?? Ive had better pizza from a gas station in a pinch. I'm pretty sure there was no fresh ingredients on it, even had canned mushrooms. I wouldn't have even bothered writing this, if it weren't for the fact that I paid severely for this mistake all night and into the next day with trips to the bathroom, thanks Hoots. Do yourself a favor and find anywhere else.

The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was like thick paste two times in a row. Also had a horrible meal where the griddle oil must have been rancid or something. And now this gift certificate episode. We're done. Go to JB's in Rice Lake instead.

I went with a group for Sunday morning breakfast. The restaurant offers a nice range of breakfast items at a reasonable price. I decided on the two egg, potato, toast and chicken fried steak breakfast ($8.99). I also had coffee. My meal was good but not great. I ordered crispy hashbrowns. The grill was either dirty or they were overdone. The taste took away from eggs that were properly prepared and a nice chicken fried steak (gravy could have used some more flavor). The toast was very good; homemade and thick slices. The coffee was hot and generous. Service was good and everyone in the group liked their meals. To a person, they all liked the homemade toast and berry preserves. Aside from the hashbrowns, a mark against the place was its cleanliness. It was in need of a deep clean; especially the baseboards and the grate on the heating/cooling unit. I will give the restaurant another shot in the future.

I walked up to the bar, was greeted by a woman with a sour look on her face, and ordered a non-alcoholic Bloody Mary. I asked for it to be spicy. I've been ordering these drinks with and without alcohol for about 40 years now: This was the only undrinkable one I've encountered. It tasted like Red Hot on the rocks. I took a couple of sips and had to go throw up in the bathroom. Not kidding. My stomach and mouth were on fire. I'm still sick over an hour later. The two people I was with ordered food and were happy with it. I only had this horrible drink. When the waitress came back a couple of times, my full drink sat in front of me. She didn't ask if something was wrong with it. The second time she came back to the table I told her she could take the drink, that it was not drinkable. She said their mix is hot. Understatement of the year! There aren't a lot of people up north who like things spicy. I, however, do. She was kind enough to leave the full glass and bring a bill for $8.50. I paid it. On the way out, I handed the full drink to the sour faced lady that had originally "greeted" me at the bar. I told her it was so hot that it was undrinkable. No offer of a refund. I told her it was a nice way to spend $8.50. Now I remember why we stopped going here.
