    Humongous pancakes!

Delicious breakfasts!!!! Cozy atmosphere. Remembered this out-of-the-way place from last year and had to seek it out again. Worth the 5 mile drive from the interstate!

I frequently come to neighboring Georgetown and have been actively looking for a good coffee shop in the area over the past 10 or so years. There are places in Danville, which is a bit of a drive, as well as some suboptimal places closer to Georgetown. My visits to Georgetown involve spending time with family, so it's been tough finding a chance to stop in. I finally got my chance today, and I have to say I love this place! It fits exactly what I'm looking for, coffee, breakfast (they also serve lunch), and wi-fi. The inside is clean and inviting, the service is extremely friendly, and the coffee is good and endless. I had an omelet today, it totally hit the spot. I plan to come here every time we're back in Georgetown, this place is a true gem for this area!

Our waitress came to take our drink order right away and we all decided to get the breakfast buffet. That was a great choice. Several options on the buffet. I liked that you could get hashbrowns and scrambled eggs plain or with peppers and fixings mixed in. They had a good jalapeno egg option too. Pancakes, waffles or french toast. Grits. Tortilla soup. Bacon, sausage links or ham for meats plus sausage gravy and biscuits. Tried a bit of everything except the soup and enjoyed it all. I did find the need for some salt and pepper on the potatoes and eggs but that's typical of a buffet. The only thing I would have liked to have seen added to the buffet was some cheese. It would have been nice to have for the eggs and/or the grits. Another add would be some berries for the pancakes and waffles or even some small packs of peanut butter. They kept the buffet stocked and made sure it was tidy. I love that they have a fresh squeezed orange juice station if you want some fresh ok it's available. The waitress checked back on us regularly for coffee and water. They didn't even seem to mind that we lingered for a while after we were done eating just visiting and catching up. Seems to be a family friendly meet up spot where you can eat and hang out for a bit. Definitely worth a visit. You'll be able to get full and the food is tasty.

Learned about cows, how they are milked. They also have a robotic farm and we learned how that runs and learned about pigs and watched a cow birth a baby. Everything is well done and organized. The Farmhouse Restaurant menu…read moresaid they offer a "quick & casual lunch" and well, they weren't lying about the casual part... We ordered two lunches, both the 1/2 grilled cheese and soup. One with tomato soup and the other with chili. We also ordered the *special* $5 egg salad sandwich. The grilled cheese came out as some cheese microwaved between a soft burger bun. Really disappointing and crappy. The chili and soup were okay. The egg salad sandwich was very basic and lacking flavor, served on classic white bread. It was also a weird dining setup, it felt like we were eating in a giant and deserted beer hall. Total transparency: we both expected more from one of the nation's largest dairy farms. We also thought the food would be a little cleaner, like a farm-to-table experience and less processed, but it tasted like food we could get at a gas station. My husband was disappointed with the ice cream selection at the milk bar, he was hoping for more of a variety other than the basic strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, etc. We also needed to get DEF for our truck from the Fair Oaks BP and my husband called it "highway robbery" for the cost we paid. He said it was 2 or 3 times what he normally pays. In summary, a total tourist trap with crappy lunch food. I also didn't know about their animal abuse case from 2019 until after we left. And the allegations about neglect and improper slaughter in 2023. Gross and sad.
