We were grateful for a place to stay because we came into Kenora late and most of the places that we could afford were full. We took the last room in this "poorer relation" from the Travelodge. In general, it was good. Old and outdated, but clean. I liked that they had a full kitchen. We didn't need the oven, but the full fridge was nice to clean out our cooler and not play Tetris with those mini fridges. Decent location as well. The beds were fine, however the room was stuffy. Mind you it was very hot outside. If we were in Kenora again, I would probably not stay here and try somewhere else, but if you are "stuck" it is a fine solution.

I felt horrible letting my baby crawl on the floor but there's not much I could do. Tried to keep her on the bed as much as possible. The corner of the room had a large red stain - hopefully nothing died there. The bed linens were clean but the beds were springy and worn. The bathroom vanity looked new-ish and clean as did the tub/shower. Stairs - no elevator at the back where you park. Not sure if there is an elevator at the front. Cheap pet fee of 15$ and convenient location are the upsides.

In my opinion, this is likely one of the better hotels in the area, and it is a landmark as well at the waterfront, so I figured it may have a better standard than some of the others. Since I have never stayed anywhere else in Kenora, I am not sure if that is true. But I will talk about the good and the bad with my stay. The Bad ------------- There was two beds in the room, and when I sat on the first one, the springs were gone. I sunk like a stone, and the springs made a very loud protest. I crossed my fingers and thankfully when I sat on the second bed, it was perfectly fine. The shower had very little temperature control. When I had the shower's hot water tank cranked on high, it only came out warm. It wasnt cold and my showers were confortable, but I couldnt add more heat. Room service did not show up every day. Matter of fact, then showed up once. By showed up, they asked me in the hall on my way out for DINNER if I required service. I said yes. The other days -- no service at all. The Good -------------- The staff were very courteous. I ran into nothing but nice people. The pool is gorgeous. Its on the top floor of the hotel with a stunning view of the lake. The restaurant was very good (but pricey for Kenora). Regardless I ate there once, sometimes twice a day, because the food was consistently good, and the view of the lake was outstanding. The rate was fair. I paid $104 a night, which i thought was an awesome rate for the location.

Couldn't ask for much more.. except it seemed a little bit dated and not as modern but still very clean regardless. Loved the senic views of Kenora in general and was a nice day to escape the big city. Consider coming here instead of stopping in a bigger city for sure! Is what I would say!!

A beautiful home for a b&b!! Over 100 years old but they have renovated since. The hosts are very…read morefriendly but they still give you privacy. The breakfast was cooked from scratch and each morning was something different but equally delicious. They give you an option of what time you'd prefer breakfast which I found convenient since we were there on a business trip. The entire house is beautiful; the rooms, the bathrooms & tub, the backyard with the pond & hammock, and the breakfast room overlooking the yard. It's a couple of blocks from downtown and from the water which is a nice walk. Highly recommend this if you are staying in Kenora whether for business or pleasure.

The rooms were very clean and looks like they were recently spruced up with a clean white look. We booked this hotel because it was cheaper then a lot of the other hotels and being Harbour Fest weekend it was a great deal. Our room was on the second floor and there is a view of Lake of the Woods. There is however a long gazebo style hall that is extremely hot because of the AC units but once you're in your room it's very cool. (It was very hot that day so I'm guessing it's not always like that) Definitely will be staying here the next time we are in Kenora!!

Very nice, small motel located in a convenient part of the city. The rooms are very generous in…read moresize. Every room has been newly renovated. The laminate wood floors are warm. The beds are comfortable with soft sheets. The rooms include: refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, 42-inch TV and free Wi-F but, it is very weak. We stayed here on a weekend and thought we got a lot for the price. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is not open but, it is planned for the future.

Let's start with the good! Customer service at check-in was helpful and accommodated our late check…read morein. Now entering the not good. First impression the room was actually disturbing. Upon opening the door to the room, the window was wide open, seemingly to air out the wretched smell of festering bacteria and pot smoke. There were crumbs of weed on the bed. A few pills, possibly from past guests, were scattered below and behind the toilet. There were blood stains on the walls and sheets, an empty beer can lay deceased underneath the bed amongst many corpses of winged insects, adding to the offensive smell of the room, the soiled carpets had never witnessed a vacuum in their lifetime, spiders dotted the walls and ceiling, the door would only close if using the deadbolt and otherwise was as open as a 24 hour soup kitchen. Our 6am checkout couldn't come quick enough. All of this for $153 for the night, plus a $200 deposit incase there was "something wrong with the room". Finally, we were vocalised at by a patron sitting on their balcony making wild animal noises at us. Do yourself a favour and as Jim Carey said "Do NOT, go in there." Pay the extra little bit and go elsewhere.
