I was pregnant at the time so they even offered to help us move which saved us so much time and money. They've gone above and beyond to make our experience here the best that there is with apartment living. When heating rates doubled, I talked to them about how our Nest Thermostat (smart thermostat that can be controlled with your phone) had been saving us money- what did they do? They installed one for everyone in the complex. Amazing. My advice to anyone living here or moving in is that you go to them with any issue or request because they've been exceedingly flexible and helpful to us at every turn. The apartment itself is beautiful, new looking (even the one we moved into that had been lived in before us). We had a baby and kids living above us and rarely heard the softest of a baby cry if you were listening carefully and, having our own infant, my mom ears probably only heard it because of that. We sleep trained our baby when he was older and our next door neighbor said he never heard a thing (as we were sure to make sure this didn't disturb him). When I was pregnant and couldn't walk up stairs because of complications they modified our ground level apartment so we could walk out of the porch (by installing a door) so I could get to my car without stairs right to my car- 10 feet away. Made it possible for me to leave the house on my own which was a lifesaver (and a job saver). The property management has always been incredibly friendly and helpful with every question, request and transition in our life. As my husband graduates his fellowship soon, we will be moving soon but will be sad to leave as finding another apartment with this kind of service is likely impossible. I'd also add we share the electrical line with the hospital and even through storms where most of town has lost power, we never have- not even during the hurricane. So that's a huge plus too!

The property manager gives him a half-hearted wave hello, turns to us & goes "this is (insert his name), he is the custodian. He's deaf so he cant hear anything we're saying." It made me feel very uncomfortable. We're adults looking to rent an apartment, we have a full understanding of what "deaf" & "hearing impaired" means. It was disrespectful towards the custodian. He is a person that deserves the same basic respect. It's 2021, its time to learn some ASL & treat your coworker like a human being instead of some walking statue that cleans the buildings.

The Secretary will harass you. There is a late fee on everything. There was a restaurant across from my building and there was always people parking in my assigned parking. There is a small laundry room and I have had tenants take my cloths out of a washer and a dryer in the middle of the cycle to start their own laundry. In the winter they have several buildings and one plow truck for snow removal. So there is a good chance you will be stuck until mid afternoon before they plow. Renting here was a nightmare. The landlords have absolutely no compassion or empathy for people. It's all about money with them. I had a neighbor who was really noisy. I called the police on him 8 times. My landlord called the police on his m 2 times and I called my landlord about him over 45 times within 1 years. The landlord did nothing about it .

The first time I had the pleasure of the person who was going to show me this place fight with her BF on the phone... The second time they couldn't find the key so I had driven an hour and a half to see NOTHING. If you work at DHMC, call HR and they will get you free access to a housing website, they are awesome. Otherwise, Craig's List is good.
