I found Stone Bridge Farms while googling for a Thanksgiving dinner venue. I made a reservation the day before and was surprised they still had availability. I did not read any reviews until we were about to leave for our dinner. There were no good reviews and I was thinking that could not possibly be fair. Well I was wrong - all of these reviews are right on point. You are barely greeted in a friendly manner which really surprised me since they sound so welcoming online. We were not even told what the process was so we had to find someone to ask. Then we get in line for food and it was a challenge to identify each meat item except the meatloaf which was obvious. There was no roast as listed on the menu, no salad bar (just paper bowl with lettuce and a tomato), and no creamed corn or sweet potato casserole. I will say one of the serving ladies was very generous with her portions while the others were much more conservative. But then came the dessert options - which were listed on the menu as: Assorted pies, cakes, and banana pudding. The only options were something that looked like pumpkin pie and pecan pie - the "pumpkin" pie was NOT pumpkin and I am not sure what it was. But when I asked for banana pudding they said they were not serving that - what the heck?? So we sit down to eat and there was nothing on my plate that was good at all. I am not sure where the food came from, but nothing was freshly made or even close to homemade. I am not that picky so I was really surprised I did not like anything. We order thanksgiving dinner from them to save on stress to our elderly mom. Wish we had cooked or ordered elsewhere. The food was flavorless including the turkey. The green beans were okay. Rolls were little and crushed. Frozen pies were subpar. read more

One of the worst meals I've ever eaten. It smelled so good and looked good, but the taste was another matter. I went for Thursday lunch with 3 others so we had an assortment of foods. My first bite was of the meatloaf. It tasted like a concoction of greasy mush topped with some barbecue sauce. I believe the tasteless squash casserole must have been made from the same mush. Was there really any squash in it? The Stone Bridge chicken, other than a slight sweet taste, was without flavor, as was everything else on my plate. My SIL said the chicken fingers were good, but she couldn't eat the rest of her meal. The men tried the pork chop, the ribs, and the meatloaf. So, I'm thinking, a buffet in Cullman County that is only open 2 days a week, was going to packed when we got there. Ah...nope! And now we know why. My family and I went to Sophia's Southern Buffet at about 4PM on Thursday. They buffet is only open Thursday and Sunday. I was really worried there was going to be a long wait. There was NOBODY there. I mean, 1 table had 4 people and THAT WAS IT!! I didn't let that distract me. I was on a mission to tackle the buffet. My first plate consisted of fried chicken (you can only get legs or thighs) I got 2 legs. I also got a portion of meatloaf, 1 pork chop, a dish of cole slaw and potato salad. I then swung around to get my beverage. I got a sweet tea. As the employee was getting my tea, there were dozens of ants crawling on the counter. I told him about this, and his response was, and this is a quote "Oh, yeah that's because of the sugar" WHAT????? I shrugged it off and we made our way to a table. Seriously, there was 1 table with people the rest of the entire room was empty. I started with the fried chicken. It was ok, not very hot. After my 2nd bite of the 2nd piece, I noticed a little pink. I opted to not finish it. I tried the meatloaf. OMG, it was so dry. Not sure how much breadcrumbs they use but it was nasty. My mother in laws piece wasn't even cooked all the way. The cole slaw and potato salad were both very nasty. I actually spit out the bite of cole slaw I ate. The pork chop.....SO FREAKING TOUGH. I seriously would love to know who taught these people how to cook. I left not at all happy. Uncooked chicken, tough as hockey puck pork chop, ants on the counter and for all of that I got to pay $15. What a racket. A total rip-off to customers. Not sure how they stay in business but maybe that's why there weren't any people there. They come once, eat and then never come back. I've had a better buffet at Ci Ci's & Golden Corral. When I first heard I was heading to a wedding in Cullman, Alabama I seemed reluctant due to the vacant, forsaken sense of the area. However, I had the utmost luxury of attending a wedding here at Stone Bridge Farm over the weekend. The grounds were nothing shy of picturesque. From the Southern-style chapel to the elegant banquet hall, which housed the wedding reception, it's apparent why couples choose to get hitched at Stone Bridge. There's a restaurant on site, which interestingly enough is only open on Thursdays. I'm sure Stone Bridge utilizes the site for an array of events. The hardwood floors are merely the tip of the iceberg compared to the remainder of the old-fashioned architecture. Do yourself a favor and check out the grounds for yourself. read more

The owner Ron called me a bitch. This is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. They ended the wedding at 9:30 and they were very very rude to the guests and bride. The wedding part however was pretty and all the staff were pretty okay just the owner Ron was a problem. So if you want to spend a lot of money and be treated like crap this Is your place! read more

Yesterday four of us came for lunch but we're unable to eat. The food was at best like warm. The pork chops were so tough they could not be cut even with a knife without sliding other food off the plate. The okra tasted as though it was cooked in old burnt grease. I could go on describing other food but won't. The floor under our table was sticky enough that our shoes stuck to it. The serving staff was argumentative and not accommodating in the least. The trays were soaking wet, puddled with water. Honestly there were so many violations of basic standards in food service it was scary. We attempted to eat various things but found that none of it, down to the deserts were palatable. This was not our first time eating and in prior trips the food was delicious however the temperature was below standards. This did not seem to vary with arrival times. I felt you should be aware of this so attention could be brought to your situation. read more

I am writing this a little prematurely but I can't help myself. I am getting married at Stone Bridge Farm (SBF) in December and I cannot wait. Mostly because I love my fiance, but partly because I love this place!!! We stumbled on SBF by accident but are so glad that we did. The grounds are beautiful, very natural, not pretentious or over groomed. The restaurant (only open on Thursday) serves a great collection of southern foods. You have to try the potatoes (whatever kind they have out that day) and the chili is very good too. You can't go wrong with any dessert you pick. The main reason that I love this place though, is the people. Ron Foust, the owner, was the first part of the SBF farmily that we met. Love this guy! He is a big (not large, but tall) man but don't be intimidated, he is a big teddy bear. But don't tell him I told you :) Melanie Hall, Event Coordinator & Floral Designer was there for our first day too. You can tell this woman really loves this place and really loves her job. We are so excited to see what she does for the deco with our wedding. She had some wonderful ideas within 10 minutes of meeting us. If all the above loveliness wasn't enough, we then met Becki Gilbert, Event Coordinator & Executive Assistant. This girl is the icing on my cake, the jam on my bread, the hot sauce on my popcorn. Becki is a happy little bolt of lightning and if you ever get the chance to meet her, work with her, have coffee with her, DO IT. I I had heard of Stone Bridge Farm from a neighbor so my two good lunch buddies and I decided to take a trip to Cullman to check it out. Stone Bridge Farm is a wedding venue that serves a huge buffet on Thursdays. The lunch buffet is ten dollars, the evening buffet is thirteen dollars. The lunch buffet was delicious...lots to choose from and dessert and beverage are included. The food was fresh and well prepared. The servers were very nice though they were very busy today! The owner told us that each week he is having more and more customers for the buffet! Stone Bridge is a short ride to the country from downtown Cullman. Signs mark the way...you will not be sorry you went!! read more

Wonderful place and lovely staff. Went for a COVID-safe outdoor wedding and it was lovely. Every detail in place. Beautiful, meticulously kept property We stayed at The Farm House 3 nights. It was clean and delightful. Ron, the owner, personally saw that we were taken care of when the WiFi went out. He also honored the bride's 92 year old grandfather on Veteran's Day and offered complimentary meal(s) in the new restaurant. Excellent. read more

I am writing about your seafood buffet on Tuesdays.. OH MY GOODNESS!!! What utter crap! COLD food, inedible food, hard, cold sides, raw slivers of steak with blood coming out.. The girl serving said she was sorry and that put too much out and NO one coming in to eat it. Well, one thing they GOTCHA!! You pay before you come in and you are stuck. People complained but doesn't seem to be anyone with authority there.. Even the beverage girl is a joke.. Kept making tea and had maybe 50 poured all melted down to clear tinted water and no she didn't pour out.. she just passed those out and kept making more.LOL! Desserts for some reason had a million flies on them! I would never serve oyster , shrimp, catfish so cold you could not eat it.. and HARD as a rock! It's hard to find food like this!! You have got to do better or else no one will come. First of all do not cook it at noon and put it out there for customers at 5. Your servers were all apologizing for the food. Well, they said we know it is cold. There is too much out here to keep warm. You need to fire your manager and get a new one! I might as well threw $50 out my window of my car tonight!
