I've taken jewelry in on three occasions: first to have new clasps on bracelets and the second two times to have rings resized. On all three occasions I had to call several times AFTER giving them a month, and every time I was told that the person was "very busy." Ok. Who isn't? And no customer wants to hear that. In the end it was two- three months before I got my jewelry back. The last time the job had been finished for a week (after two phone calls and two months) but no one bothered to call me. So three tries, and they are out. I will never use Magpie again - nor would I shop there, as the experience has made me want to find a place that offers better customer service, even if jewelry repair is not their money-maker or interest.

Look to be a full service trophy, engraving type place, didn't really get the full resume of what they do because when I went in to place my order the owner was not there and when I came to pick up my order, he was not there again. This would not have been that big of an issue but I was not able to place my order in person or pay when I wished because his mother was running shop and didn't know any answers to my questions. Have to admit I was a little leary with the lack of professionalism. I do give props because Rick, the owner was very quick and attentive to my order and go it done in record time. I also would rather go small business than chain stores for my needs. Because of this, I referred others to him and they were happy with his service too. I am very unhappy with my recent experiences with Gold Creations. There are no warranties,…read moreguarantees, and they totally nickel and dime you if you need any work on the jewelry you purchased at their store. Nothing is free. You want your white gold bridal bands rhodium dipped, you will pay per ring. So the way to get this cheaper is to solder them together, which you will pay for. By the way, because they don't tell you this, when you solder them together they may not fit. You should consider getting them resized. Oh and they charge for that too. You want your appraisal updated, it's not free. Over the past year I have apparently chipped three diamonds. I did not know diamonds chipped, apparently that's a thing. I understand paying for them, but find it funny that I have had these rings for several years and never had an issue until recently. I have another ring from a mall jeweler and they stand by all the work. I lost a diamond and they replaced it for free. They rhodium dip my ring for free. Recently they resized it for free. They also reinforced the back of the band that I thought was thining for free. I am supposed to get this ring checked every six months for the warranty to be valid and have not because I have not been wearing it, it just sits in my jewelry box. That's okay, they recently checked it and re-validated the warranty. I have also purchased jewelry at Kessler's. Kessler's is amazing! They have a great warranty and stand behind their work and all your purchases. If I need anything done in the future I will be going to Kessler's. We will never go back to Gold Creations. They have lost our business. I used to tell everyone to go there I will now be telling everyone NOT to go there! Word of mouth is a great marketing tool!
