Having a good connection with your Physical is a plus. I take that perspective a bit further in acknowledging the patient care team who ultimately makes the Physical & the practice successful. Eyana (Business Manager), Brianna (RN) & Latisha (Front Desk) really worked well together ensuring the patients were cared for & in a timely manner. There's another location in Sandy Springs where they offer the same scope of services - care plans for nasal congestion, breathing issues, facial pain, sleep apnea & administers allergy/flu shots. Aside from the nonsurgical treatments the practice also performs minimally invasive surgeries for in-office for patient convenience. I took an updated allergy test & got some really good insight from Dr. McKean who interacts more conversational as opposed to medical textbook Q&A. My son has Graves Disease & I passed along Dr. McKean's information as I was well impressed with my care & treatment options.

I was seen by the…read moreaudiologist and Dr. Witter-Hewitt for maybe a total of 30 minutes, but was waiting a combined 2 hours over the course of the visit. This included at least 30 minutes in the exam room, which was not child-friendly at all (no toys, lots of knobs he couldn't touch, and of course being at the office for over an hour by this time, he was ready for his nap). I could have lived with all of that, and the Dr. herself was perfectly nice, but it was her lack of response following the appt. that was truly upsetting to me. As it turns out, while the doctor's office accepted my insurance (United Healthcare, through Delta Airlines), the surgery center Dr. Witter-Hewitt prefers did not, which no one discovered until the surgery was already scheduled. The schedulers, who were very nice and helpful, coordinated with the other surgery center (Meridian Mark) to find times where Dr. Witter-Hewitt could perform the surgery there. However, Dr. Witter-Hewitt never got back to her schedulers to pick a time. I waited 4 business days for a response (6 with weekends) and heard nothing from the doctor, though the scheduling staff would call me to tell me they were still waiting. I even asked to switch to Dr. Jenny Kim, who did my daughter's surgery and we liked, just ironically didn't go with originally because I wanted the surgery scheduled as soon as possible. However, the schedulers didn't feel comfortable "giving away" Dr. Witter-Hewitt's patient without her permission, which also never came. Meanwhile, my son had double-ear infections that she did not want to treat with antibiotics, so we were really just waiting for the surgery to give him some relief. In the end, I never got a response from Dr. Witter-Hewitt, which is such a poor experience. My son was in pain, with double-ear infections, and the Dr. couldn't even be bothered to release me to the other pediatric doctor in the practice, let alone actually schedule the surgery at a different center. I found another practice who out of compassion was able to squeeze us into his schedule and perform the surgery. To add insult to injury, I still got hit with a $320 bill because it was under my deductible. I worked with the office managers to get some of it written off, but they claimed that they have no power to do that because they use a third-party billing service. My mom is a billing manager at a third-party billing service, so I know that is BS, but I don't really have any recourse except this review.

This practice has a lot of great reviews and I want to share my experience in case it helps…read moresomeone. In January 2025 I made an appointment for the earliest new patient appointment, which was in June 2025. I decided to wait for the appointment because I really appreciated the philosophy found on the website and definitely liked the glowing reviews. I had positive interactions with all staff I encountered and the clinic was clean and bright. The provider I met with suspected a new problem/diagnosis and so started a work up with labs and imaging. Clinic staff did follow up with me once labs resulted out and referred me to a specialist. The ordered imaging was performed ~2 weeks after my new patient appt but I never received follow up, from the NP or anyone else at Ponce Primary Care re: the imaging results. It has now been ~3 months since my last communication, specific to my care, with anyone in this office. I decided to reach out to discuss the standard of care, which I felt to be lacking. Dr. Chad Costley did return my call within an hour or so and he did verbalize disappointment with my situation. He assured me that my experience is unfortunately the exception to their typical patient experience. I was informed that the NP I had been assigned to was "only part-time and here less than a month". I did not ever receive any communication from Ponce Primary Care to notify me that my assigned provider was departing or to invite me to call to schedule with another provider for seamless continuity of care. I was told that my imaging results were never sent by the imaging facility I went to and that "this is where the wheels came off". That is absolutely possible but it was also not confirmed to be true at the time of the statement. The report not being in the patient chart does not mean it was never received by the ordering office or sent to the ordering provider. Sometimes things get scanned and assigned incorrectly, or not scanned at all. Lots of possibilities there. To me, that shows a lack of accountability for not holding a supervisory review of a departing provider's caseload/EMR task list and it also fails to consider that an out-of-state fax number associated with the ordering provider could be the problem. I waited 6 months for a new patient appointment and, whatever the circumstances, was lost in the shuffle. I will not be continuing with this practice, although I'm sure they have many satisfied patients as evidenced by their overall rating. My advice if you wish to establish/continue care here: Be able to advocate for yourself and for your own healthcare. Be knowledgeable about when to follow up on your care in case the practice doesn't. If the wait is still 6 months out for a new patient appointment when you try to schedule, do not think an extra special or VIP experience awaits you - realize that they just might be too busy to accept new patients.
