I'm a mom of three and spend most of my day on my feet, so finding a place that actually helps my body feel better has been huge. CP runs a boutique-style personal training gym that's honestly one of the cleanest and most well-equipped spaces I've ever been in. He puts real thought into every session -- it's not a one-size-fits-all workout. What I really appreciate is how CP bridges that gap between physical therapy and personal training. He focuses on alignment, getting the right muscles to fire, and helping you move in a way that actually supports your body instead of hurting it. It's made a big difference with my postpartum posture issues and all the aches from standing all day. If you want a gym where the trainer actually cares, knows what they're doing, and takes pride in the details, this is it. It's become the one hour I get for myself that actually helps me function better the rest of the day. read more

Genuinely one of the best 1:1 training facilities in the area, from the equipment to the trainers. You can tell the space was set up with a ton of thought and care in mind, and each of the trainers there are so knowledgable. I've had the pleasure of training with Justin since 2018, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Ashley and CP are amazing to work with as well! Pros: - A very clean and private space - The equipment available is what you'll find at a top fitness club/gym facility - InBody machine available to track progress - Easy parking - Trainers are super friendly and customize plans/sessions to your goals - Post workout stretches - Cupping available - Justin lets me pick the music (extreme plus lol) One thing I personally wish they had was a shower for post workouts, but that's about it. Other than that, I can't fault this place. It hasn't stopped me from continually coming back. I highly recommend hitting up the trainers at Stoic! read more

Ashley really has mastery of the body and you can tell she is super passionate about what she does. From proper warm ups, to form, to tailoring the workout to fit my needs, to body work and stretching. As a high level athlete my whole life I have worked with a lot of trainers, and no one listens and adjusts so well, while still delivering results. I can work hard without being scared of injury, as I know she is taking it all into consideration. I've worked out with her through different seasons of life, including two postpartums which I was so grateful for. She is also super funny, so that helps to lighten the mood when I'm dying from her insane programming. She always finds a way to strengthen my weaknesses, which leads to overall more strength instead of just working the big muscles like your typical Bootcamp or trainer that doesn't really tailor the workout to you. Stoic is also so nice. Clean positive inviting environment to workout, everyone is there to work hard while still having a good time. All levels welcome. Plenty of parking. Good vibes. Highly recommend. read more

Ashley is amazing - she understands the human body. She cares about my personal goals - while pushing me to be stronger than I imagined. She Integrates stretches as a modality for healing and wellness (I love / hate stretching!) - and is an amazing choice for your personal fitness goals. From professional athletes to those who have taken a break from fitness - she customizes for your needs. I've had knee injuries since high school. My knees are stronger than ever after doing strength and stretches with Ashley! read more

Amazing gym!! I've been training with Justin Haynes for the past year, and he made me feel very comfortable and help me hit fitness goals as a person using a trainer for the first time. I was intimidated by the idea of a trainer at first, but his openness and easy-going attitude made the process way easier, and I got hooked! Justin is always prepared and brings a crazy positive and light atmosphere to the workouts. The workouts are intense, but they are great. He also prepares "homework" workouts for me to do on my own throughout the week. The gym and equipment are first class, and I would compare it to a baby Equinox haha. It has everything you need and the facility is always clean. If you're a person who is looking for a trainer and don't know where to start, or even former competitive athletes, I highly recommend Justin! read more

I wish I could give it 6 stars. The gym is exactly what you want for a personal training experience. Every client is one on one so you're guaranteed a customized workout. Justin has always done an incredible job of figuring out how to keep my body healthy even with my crazy travel schedule. I've been able to improve my health and fitness into my 40's because of Justin. Justin, Ashley, and CP have all inspired me in their own ways which has made Stoic more of a family than a gym. You'd be crazy not to come here!! read more

I have been training with Ashley for the past 4 years and she is simply the BEST! She specifically tailors your workouts for how you are feeling physically and energetically that day, which I always appreciate. It's one thing to just have a run of the mill trainer that pushes you to your breaking point every day and then there is having a trainer like Ashley that listens to you and listens to your body. She knows when to ease up if your form isn't where it needs to be and when to push you when you are mentally holding yourself back a bit. She has taught me so much since I've started training with her and really stands out by having a unique approach to her sessions. No matter what, we will always spend time to properly warm up the body through stretching and dynamic movements as well as ending the session on the table with a Theragun. Because of this and her high attention to proper form, I have been able to consistently hit goals in the gym WITHOUT injury! Cannot say enough good things about her :) Aside from just Ashley, Stoic is such a nice place to workout! It is always clean and organized and because it's a smaller one on one facility, you can really focus during your session. Highly recommend! read more

Working out with Ashley has helped me gain strength, have better mobility and have proper form while working out. With her guidance I was able to have better knowledge of how to engage my core and have that muscle to mind connection which ultimately led to better workouts, and gave me confidence in the gym. I worked with Ashley when I was pregnant with my daughter and she helped me with my pelvic floor and taught me breathing techniques that had a huge impact which helped me with my labor and delivery. I pushed my daughter out in less than an hour (which is uncommon for first pregnancies) and it's all thanks to Ashely. If you have the opportunity to train with Ashley, Justin or CP, you won't be disappointed! read more

Hands down, Ashley is the best personal trainer!! She is extremely reliable, knowledgeable & punctual - always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned. I thoroughly enjoy working out with Ashley, she helped me gained confidence by correcting my form and making sure i am meeting my goals throughout our sessions together. She also restructured my workouts once I found out I was pregnant to make sure my physical and mental needs were being met. Overall, amazing trainer & individual. read more

The space is absolutely stunning! There is only 3 trainers with clients in the gym at a time which makes it easy for you to focus during your session and truly gives you that one on one feel. I have been training with Justin for years. Not only is he the best trainer I've ever had, but he also does cupping services. His vast knowledge and experience really set him apart from other trainers. He treats each client the same and puts a lot of time into each client in and out of the gym. 10/10 recommend!! read more

I've trained for the better part of the last decade with a few different personal trainers but Ash is hands-down the best I've ever worked with. Her approach is unique. It's not about how heavy I can go or just getting through the reps. She focuses heavily on deep core engagement, proper form, and recovery, and I take everything I've learned from her and apply it to every workout even outside of her sessions. I originally went in with the intention of just dropping weight but instead found myself not only losing fat but becoming the strongest version of myself. It's become a lifestyle change for me and I can honestly say I look forward to every session with her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to make permanent changes to their mind and body! read more

Beautiful private gym! I loved everything about stoic. Super easy parking, new gym equipment, all the trainers are incredible and really top notch personal training. I always recommend this place to everyone I know. Ash was my trainer, I learned so much from her and use all of the techniques she taught me! read more

Stoic is amazing, with awesome trainers and everyone there is so nice. Justin is my trainer, and I owe him so much for helping me get my mobility back. He worked with me for 2 yrs and was so patient as I got my mobility back after being with a trainer that didn't take care of me the way Justin does. He's highly professional, very intelligent, and knows how to customize workouts based on your body and what it needs. I finally got my strength, body, and bootie back and I owe so much of it to Justin. He also gave me a sense of motivation that is now engrained in my mindset so even when I don't see him, he motivates me. 10/10 would recommend! read more

10/10 recommend Justin Haynes for both private training & cupping/massage therapy! I've always overlooked my flexibility & mobility - with his help & knowledge of functional movements I successfully modified my fitness routine which was much safer for my back due to former injuries. Justin has also helped me relieve debilitating back & shoulder pain multiple times with the cupping massage therapy he offers. If you are looking for a trainer who knows the body & how to enhance its abilities via movement or massage therapy relief, look no further!!! read more

Justin Haynes is an incredibly gifted trainer with so much knowledge and commitment to the success of his clients. I started training with him shortly after the pandemic, and his approach allowed me to build up my confidence inside and outside of the gym. He is uplifting, and places so much belief into all of his clients. If you have the opportunity to work with him, you won't regret it ! read more

I've unfortunately never had that mindset to keep an active lifestyle, Usually work kept me in decent shape. Due to an injury I've gotten extra lazy and came across Stoic on yelp and reached out, Got paired with Justin who provided the means for me to alter the way I look at exercise. Life's thrown me a few curveballs recently so can't continue training at the moment but now I feel able to keep it up on my own until I can hopefully return . Can't thank y'all enough! read more

Trained with Justin for about 3 years...and simply put, he's amazing. He's mindful of injuries (and helps rehab them), supportive & not judgey at all. I can say that when training with him, I was in the best shape of my life. Every workout was different so it was never boring. The gym is 10 out of 10, as well. There's only 3 trainers & rarely was everyone there at once so it's definitely an environment for everyone-no matter your fitness level. Truly sad that I moved and am no longer in the area to continuing training with Justin. read more

I had the pleasure doing a one hour cupping session with Justin Haynes. The session was just what I needed as he creates a comfortable and welcoming space. He is very intentional about listening to what I needed and targeted the pain points during the session. I could immediately feel relief the next day, and its also an educational experience as he told me what I should do to maintain relief in my upper back. read more

I drive from the valley to Stoic just to train with Justin... if that's not a testimony for how much I love this gym and training with him. I'm not sure what is. With each session Justin is always pushing me to be great, challenging me with weights and using positive words of encouragement to help me get through the session. I'm so grateful to have found Justin and this gym. I will continue to be a client. read more

Amazing personal training gym. Everyone is super friendly and makes you feel like family right when you walk in. I work with CP on mobility and athletic training. I've been training with Justin on and off since 2016. Stoic is by far my favorite environment to get a good work out in. All of the trainers are awesome and have an obvious passion for fitness and helping others. Justin has helped me reach my fitness goals many times over the years. Most recently he's helped me maintain my strength and prepare my body for labor as I went through my first pregnancy. No matter what phase of life I'm in, I can always count on Justin to be there to support my fitness goals. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a quality personal trainer who has an obvious love for his craft. read more

Justin is an amazing physical trainer, I've trained with him since Equinox. Then I followed him to his own gym, Stoic, in HB. He is an awesome trainer, gentleman, has an incredible energy that makes you feel great about yourself. He is very caring, spiritual, which I have always love about him. I have had about 6 different PT trainers, he is by far The Best # 1. I would not go to anyone else to train with. Justin is the Best of them All. He will get you where you want to be. I highly recommend Justin, he is a wonderful PT trainer as well as a professional athlete. I truly admire him, he always cares for your wellbeing. read more

Absolutely love my time spent at Stoic with Ashley, Justin & Chris! Training with Ashley has not only taught me so much about my own health & fitness but also pushed me to always keep improving. I have been overly impressed with Stoic and the amazing trainers that are there. Justin specifically, has guided and encouraged me to achieve different fitness goals throughout the years. He has gone above and beyond to share his knowledge on proper body mechanics, importance of a solid warm up and recovery, and formatting workouts specifically for my body and my goals. Each workout is customized and adjusted as needed. I always leave my workout feeling like I truly accomplished a lot. I'm grateful that on my low energy days, he keeps me motivated and moving, but reminds me that I should be proud of showing up and still putting in the work. The facility itself is clean, with a modern feel, and new equipment. I tend to slack on my recovery and stretching consistently after my workouts on my own. Justin is specially trained in massage cupping therapy, which has been SO beneficial in relieving any tension or muscle stiffness. The cupping session is done in a spa like setting rather than a physical therapy session and is so relaxing! This is by far the best personal training studio I've come across in Orange County! read more
