I am in Woodstock for work, and a colleague suggested I give this place a try. What an awesome…read moreplace! There is an outside patio, and a large open interior space - definitely a bit of a biergarden feel to it. You go to the bar to order your food and drinks, and tell the server where you are sitting. They then bring the food out to you. Let's talk about the food! More specifically, let's talk about the poutine! I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. High marks all around!

It was a "seat yourself", order your food & pick up your own drinks brewpub. The server themselves seemed to be doing little except deliver your food & clear the tables. My food was the TexMex Nacho Wrap ($17.00) w waffle fries. It SHOULD have been piping hot cause it took 45 minutes for us to get our food!! Instead, it was lukewarm with not much taste to it to boot! This was disappointing as the menu (attached) LOOKED very nice but the food disappointed. Our server(s) were less then polite & it kinda turned me off from the get go. As a seasoned restaurant goer...go somewhere else...this wasn't good. To the restaurant owner(s)...do a better job for crying out loud!

We have always been greeted with a smile and served with kindness. You can decide to eat outside on the patio or inside the "old church" building.

One of the staff recommended eats is the cheeseburger and duck wings. The smash burger and fries is very addicting. Maybe one of the best smash burgers I've had in a while. The duck wings are a generous portion size and a tasty sticky kind of goodness. We originally wanted brussel sprouts but it sold out so opted for the beet salad which is pretty good too. All in all, I'm surprised the food is so good! I may have enjoyed it more than the flight of beers we ordered. I told the staff to choose a selection for us. The CPA is one I prefered most among the ones I tried, with a bit more floral or complex notes than the rest. This family-run brewery and restaurant was converted from a small church and has been opened for a couple of years. Find your own seat, order and pay in the front and food would be sent to your table. The tip range suggested the same as a full service restaurant. There are six communal tables and also enclosed sheds outside for additional seating.

For a retirement gift, my boss had bought $50 gift certificates to six micro breweries in Guelph, which has been great. We've had dinner at some, but at others, I have just bought cans of beer to go (usually I put in a bit more cash and get 18 cans). This place must not have had a proper gift certificate, because I just had a "pint card" (4 beers value - $34) and the balance was rung up as 2 X 473mL lagers, for about $50. I explained to the server that I was sure this was meant to represent a $50 gift card and she said it was just a pint card and my boss must have drank the two tall boys there (while touring around Guelph to get gift cards at 2pm). Anyway, I finally took the 4 cans, which were $34 plus tax, although for $30, you could get 6 cans. I'm probably going on too long about this, but I feel like I was ripped off and this is my only way to deal with it, emotionally. Anyway, I will never go back there again, and please, never buy a gift certificate from this establishment.

This is exclusively a brewery so they do not seem to serve food themselves but have other restaurant pop ups and encourage to bring your own food! To know more about their pop ups follow their instagram. We were excited for the Oyster popup from Island Oysters paired with a laza kombucha and a baby thunder pale ale. The service was attentive although note you need to order at the bar.

Fortunately we were there on a perfect weather night, so sitting upstairs on the patio was delightful. Not really any bugs, not too hot or cold, and the lighting was pretty good. I appreciate that they have a parking lot underneath and in the back. I also really enjoyed the store! We got pizzas for dinner, and each had a beer. All of our pizzas were really good, and I really liked my beer! I kind of wished we had been staying closer to London so we could have gone back to try more! The ambience inside was totally different, and kind of felt like a bar I used to frequent in Chicago. It would have been nice if there were also restrooms upstairs though. Good pizza, good vibes, good service, good beer. All around enjoyable experience!

I would suggest making a reservation when indoor dining is your only option, especially if going on a weekend. Toboggan caters to large groups as well, they have a bunch of long tables to fit any size group! The food was good; I had the beef brisket deluxe sandwich which I enjoyed. My boyfriend got three tacos; the lake perch, the roasted chicken, and the roasted pork. He said that was enough to fill him up entirely! All in all, good food and great service.
