After getting my approval, they put on new windshield wiper blades, cabin filter, and an air filter for the motor. The prices were quoted to me and they showed me the old dirty filters. Best of all the mechanics noticed my vehicle had a leaking rubber boot at the axle area. Which was great timing since my vehicle is within warranty and I can have the repair done free of charge at the dealership. Way overpriced for one. They charged me $756 to replace all 4 spark plugs & coils in my 2013 Mazda…read more3 (my teenage son's car). The very next day after installing the spark plugs & coils, the check engine light comes on. So I bring it back up to Herbert Automotive, they inspect my car, and then said "the spark plugs & coils we installed yesterday all check out perfectly, so there must be something else going on. Looks like we need to do a diagnostic compression test next to figure out the deeper issue." Well, I declined (God knows how much they would of charged me for a compression test), and I instead drove my Mazda 3 right up to my long time trusted mechanic @ Corey's Auto. They took one look at my car, and fixed it within seconds. Corey's said "one of the brand new coils installed by Herbert Automotive was not plugged in all the way, so thats why your check engine light was on. We fixed it. There is no need for a costly compression test." Low and behold my check engine light has been off ever since. (Fyi Corey's did not charge me a penny either).
