Best oral surgeon for wisdom teeth extractions! I highly recommend this place and surgeon to anyone…read moreneeded or getting their wisdom teeth extracted. The first time I came to AO&MS, was for a consultation. I met with the dental assistances for x-rays and information regarding: insurance, medical history, medications, previous complications, etc. Dr. Macholl came in afterwards and talked to me about what he would be doing during the surgery, what I should and shouldn't do before the surgery side-effects after surgery, medications (pills to take before and after the procedure and IV sedation medications), and answered any questions I needed to ask. After meeting with Dr. Macholl, I was met by a woman who talked to me about the approximate total payment of the surgery and my next appointment time. Day of Surgery- (Before) Dr. Macholl and his staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were telling me the step-by-step process of what they were doing and explaining what everything was and what it was going to do. Dr. Macholl had four emergency medications on hand in case an allergic reaction had occurred from all the medications. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and safe. (After) Fast-forward after the procedure. I felt very sleepy. I awoke with ice packs wrapped around my head. Dr. Macholl's staff were very cautious and helpful of helping me to my car. Overall, this business is very professional and comforting. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, they are there to help you! :D

My initial dentist and this place took so long to schedule me and get me in I am now left with permanent nerve damage and cannot feel half my face. I really like this dentist, because I feel listened to and the dentist is really smart. I had no…read moreidea I was a clencher. I mentioned a concern with a crown and gum recession. I asked if it was a bad quality crown, because the metal was showing under the porcelain. He explained not entirely the case. He said that part of the reason for gum recession on a back molar was because I was clenching. The process of clenching creates a wobble motion on your tooth and makes gums recede. This is my analogy: think of a post in the ground. You push and pull it back and forth and the dirt recedes. My last dentist just said it was because the gums don't like the material and recede. Long story short, he recommended a mouth guard for almost a year now and the pockets of recession continue to improve. 4s became 3s. 3s became 2s. Sometimes my dentist can run behind, but if you need to get somewhere and you tell them, they will do everything they can to get you out on time. This was the case last year when I had to run for kindergarten lunch with my child at his school. Honestly I would rather he take the time to educate and make me a bit late than just treat me as business as usual or a check box. My previous dentist was time efficient but never offered the same level of care. The previous dentist at a different practice just wanted to do the cleaning and send me on my way. My overall dental health has greatly improved here. There is data to prove it. Highly recommend.

At my son's recent visit for his annual cleaning, we were told he needed a "special cleaning" that would cost an additional $500 out of pocket. When I questioned this, the staff insisted it was required and refused to perform his regular annual cleaning, stating it would be a liability if I declined the extra service. This was very concerning, especially since my son has never needed this type of cleaning before. To be safe, I sought opinions from two different family dental practices, both of which completely contradicted Keller Modern Dentistry's recommendation. Today, my son received his regular annual cleaning at another office with no issues and no extra charges, fully covered by insurance. Based on this experience, I do not trust this practice. I strongly recommend doing your research and seeking second opinions before agreeing to any additional services here. Be cautious -- this office appears to focus heavily on upselling unnecessary treatments.

GO TO ANOTHER ORAL SURGEON!…read more Unfortunately, my experience with The Wisdom Teeth Guys was very disappointing. First, their quote for my wisdom tooth removal was higher than other oral surgeons I contacted, even with insurance, which was surprising. On top of that, they required me to go through extra steps, including getting a medical release from my doctor before they would even proceed. That ended up being unnecessary based on what other oral surgeons told me later. The day of my appointment was even more frustrating. My appointment was scheduled for 7:45 AM. I arrived about 5 minutes early, checked in, and waited in the lobby. Two other patients who arrived after me with 8:00 AM appointments were taken back before me. After sitting there for about 30 minutes with no explanation, I decided to leave at 8:15 AM. Around 10:00 AM, the office called asking if I needed to reschedule. I explained exactly what happened. They said they would research the situation and call me back, but I never heard from them again. This definitely felt like a "doc in the box" type of dental operation. Their phone is answered by a call center rather than the local office, which made communication frustrating. It was also confusing trying to find the location because the actual sign on the building says "Hometown Dental," not The Wisdom Teeth Guys. In the end, I went to another oral surgeon who quoted me $150 less, got me in the same day for a consultation, and had my tooth removed two days later. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, overpriced, and lacking follow-up. I would recommend checking other oral surgeons before choosing this office.

I got there after booking a week in advance a little precaution about the 200 cancellation fee lol but I was all in! I'm getting these babies taken out and hopefully and prayerfully it's pain free. When I arrived the receptionist and nurse is in the lobby. The nurse escorts patients out to their cars in a wheelchair and they look fine and barely sedated she eases my concern about that and reinstates the post process. She wasn't rush but cared about my slight paranoia of everyone seemingly so alert after the process. The receptionist explains the upcoming final X-ray and final new patient forms and lets me know it will be a minute before the first steps. Everyone was kind and familiar with the process. After the beginning steps I was brought back once more with my driver to meet the guy who admins the IV for sedation, more support nurses, and the actual doctor doing the extraction! Everyone again was super sweet and attentive to my concerns and made it easy and personalized. The procedure for all 4 wisdom teeth was about 15 minutes and I don't remember a thing! Praise God! I'm home now 13 hours after the procedure and I'm feeling fine today after following the instructions given. I did bleed for several hours after cause I was not really biting down on the gauze but that's totally my fault. After calling in and getting additional quality help I bit down strongly on the gauze for another 30-45 minutes and the bleeding was under control enough to eat ice cream and take my medicine. I would strongly recommend these GUYS! I went an hour out my way to Fort Worth because I wanted the next available appointment and it was totally worth it. My tongue and lips are slightly still numb but I'm confident I'll have all the feeling back by tomorrow or the next. Ultimately I am happy with the decision I made to go to The Wisdom Guys! Thank you to all the staff! Keep providing excellent service.
