Stilt is nothing but a fraud! I was approved for $20,000 though I applied for $25,000 and while waiting on my promissory note I increased the amount to $35,000 and they wrote me back saying they were unable to verify my income (keep in mind) I had sent them 6 months bank statements, direct deposit forms, paystubs, tax returns and I had no idea that they required my direct deposits to show on the bank account I submitted so they declined me saying "Unable to Verify Income". I went to their website and their version of "verifiable income" is direct deposits showing on your bank statements so I sent 6 months bank statements where my direct deposits went so they could see my verifiable income because my banks were not listed on the list of banks so I had to send 6 months bank statements. Again denied and I flipped because I had at that time now sent them a ton of my financial statements, tax returns, paystubs, checks from my patients and etc. and these loons did nothing but decline me and told me to reapply in 180 days where another uneducated loon told me 30 days I could reapply. Everything about Stilt is a fraud. They never answer the phone no matter how many times you call, their emails are all generic templates that make no sense that do not even relate to your loan situation, and they can decline USA Citizens after we have provided everything imaginable but the immigrants who have no documents worth a damn are able to get approved and funding and they are illegals!! I am reporting these Mother-Fuc*** because they are stealing information from people obviously and I am going to have them investigated because they are prejudice, racists and they prejudicially process applications not based on the merits of what they say they represent but based on whether you are an immigrant or not! Honestly, they only fund to immigrants and all these 5-star ratings are their employees. outright frauds, crooks, thieves, cowards, shisters, and demons is what Stilt is! Do not apply with these people they are not legitimate and they do not give you a loan! They are probably stealing our information or using it for their own better good! Report them to the BBB, the Attorney General of CA, and the Federal Trade Commission. The more complaints filed the better and then eventually they will be investigated and shut the hell down! read more

Stilt is super easy to use and I feel offers a great experience with lower interest rates. I think it is the only service that provides loan to international people even with limited credit history (like me and so many of my friends). I recently moved to San Francisco and took a loan to pay a huge rental deposit for my new apartment (SF rents are crazy!!). I had very little credit history which made my deposit very large and higher than usual. I was about to start my job in a few weeks and didn't have enough savings. I could have asked for money from my parents back home but it is such a time consuming and expensive process. If I had asked them, my parents would have to somehow scramble funds together, go to banks so many times and then send money through slow methods like money transfer services. Thankfully, while complaining about all this to my friend, I learned about Stilt and how he got a quick loan from them. Thanks to Stilt, I got the loan funds in my account in 2 days! I am STILL surprised it was this fast. The application process was just 5 mins and I got the approval in less than 6 hours. I signed the document online and money came into my account. I strongly recommend Stilt to everyone especially for international students who got high potentials but do not have SSN, co-signer, or long-term credit history. It was too much debt on my shoulders in my own country when it accumulated to a bigger amount after compounding interest every month. I came to the US to start my life afresh. My Stilt loan application as a J1 visa holder was really just a trial and error experience since I just arrived in US for few months when I applied for it. Trying to close a cash deal on my home but old mortgage from B of A and refinanced by B of A is not showing in county records, they never recorded it...they could not refinance in 2013 without paying off their existing B of A loan from 2007. Quote " the loan form 2007 was purged and we don't have it we need to research it". You refinance, and it and it was your loan originally dumbass. I think it's Highly recommend international students. Being an immigrant myself, I was not able to get student loans for larger amounts and lower rates with other online lenders or banks. Stilt is complete fraud. The have upload your personal banking information through a application called plaid. So can have full access to your banking information send you an approval then turn around ask you to send them PDF of your bank statement just to deny you. I find it fairly odd that they need access to online banking approve me then once I give them the same pdf and get denied. I have change my password and put a fraud block on my husband social.
