After i informed leslie that i would be quitting her services due to these issues alone, she sent me a text akin to a message you'd get from a ex-girlfriend. Blaming me for everything that happened and then went on to attack my character and damage me in long, vivid detail in a text message. This is SCARY behavior coming from a therapist. Marla has a special way of not making you feel judged as you share your reason to be there. I have also found through experience that if you cannot truly be completely honest with your counselor no amount of counseling will help. With Marla I can be honest which can be hard when you have to share yourself not in the best light sometimes. I feel safe in opening up with Marla and know that she absolutely has my best interests at heart. You leave her office feeling cared for but also feeling accomplished that you are working on yourself & knocking out your problems. I have made great strides by having the help of Marla in my life. I saw the remark about burnt out. Considering that God is going to celebrate 1 over 99, the staff could help save a life a day with proper community support. Not saying they don't get that already, however, i could see the signs of despair. The level of happiness is mondane masks over true satisfaction. Sure, everyone knew the field they chose was challenging. At the same time, no 2 situations are the same so why not care boxes for the staff. Just thinking out loud...

Case management seemed to bale on me at the last minute, very strange "therapist" made it clear it was all about her and what she needed to do, including calling me to talk about why she was leaving her job, spent money to get there, did NOT get responses as to why "help" didn't happen, crisis line has people giving bad advice, and legal advice that was uninformed (given it was somebody who just googled stuff). So insurance paid, I paid, and never got a response as to why the help didn't happen.
